BWV Studios w/ Daybed

I just booked a studio through Interval for next summer. We've stayed before at the Boardwalk in both a studio and one bedroom, but I'm wondering how many studios w/ daybed there are, and what my chances are of getting one.
My soon to be three year old would much prefer the daybed to a crib, so I'd like to make that happen if possible.

Thanks in advance for any insight you guys might have!

All DVC studios except for OKW have a queen bed and a pull-out couch. OKW has two queen beds.

I've never heard of a DVC studio with a daybed!

I always seem to get a daybed in a studio when I request a dedicated studio, maybe you need to make that request. If the studio is part of the 2 BR lockoff I have never had a daybed in it.

The dedicated studios have the daybed and I believe there are about 90 of those (and they are in both standard and preferred views) but I cannot remember exact number off-hand. Thus request dedicated studio. Note, that daybed is fairly small but should easily hold the three year old.

We had a studio plus at the BWV several years ago when my son was much smaller (he was five). We were excited because it meant that my husband and I wouldn't have to squeeze into the queen sized bed together. After one night, it was over. My son thought it was the worst thing in the world to sleep on.

It's like a deacon's bench with a thin foam mattress on it - no bigger than crib sized. It's rather high off the ground since it is actually a seat during the day. I don't think you could put bed rails on it to keep your child from rolling off if he/she isn't used to sleeping in this type of "bed".

It's no longer guaranteed and is merely a request.

We have had the studio plus and while it is called a day bed, it is little more than a bench with a piece of foam on top of it. But for a three year old it would work, especially if you do what Deb & Bill describe.

Our youngest was around 7 when we had one of those rooms for the first time and there was no way she was going to fit on that "day bed". It is not comparable to the day beds that are in the deluxe hotels rooms at WDW that are listed as being able to sleep five.

Good luck.

As noted, BWV is the only one that has them and you are correct to ask for a "studio plus". No guarantees but the way DVC handles requests you have a good chance of doing so. While I don't want to turn this thread into an occupancy debate, I'm wondering if you have 5 for the unit. If so, DVC tends to be far more strict for II exchanges than direct reservations in this situation. All you can do is request the studio plus and see what happens. Don't forget about the extra $95 fee direct to DVC. You can do the Dining plan if you want but it must be for all in the party for all SEVEN nights.

No occupany debate here. Family of four. I've stayed at either BWV or BCV the last three years through an Interval trade. I'm pretty well versed on how everything goes down (e.g. 95 dollar fee and meal plan), but just this year, I know my daughter would want a bed of her own, and not to share with her older brother so I thought I'd ask if there were more than a couple of those rooms to go around. Thanks!

Thanks! That looks like it'll be perfect for her as she's not quite three!
