Would love your best suggestions for room requests to ask for in standard studio, so we try to not get a view of a parking lot. We usually always request high floor 1st. Standard is anywhere and preferred is a Boardwalk view, is that right? We have stayed here in a 1-Bdrm Villa with a fantastic view of the bar/pool area (going to miss the clown slide) and while the walk to the room was long, it was our best DVC room/stay ever! Love this resort! Thanks!

Are you booked on points or cash? I believe they categorize the rooms differently for cash stays, but I could be wrong.

On points:
Most of the studios fall into the category of pool / garden view.
Boardwalk is a separate booking category with only 29 studios.

There are 52 standard studios. Post #8 in the above link shows you where you will be.

Ask to be as far from the elevators as possible. That way you might get a good location close to the elevators. In 20+ years I have never gotten a request anywhere close to what I have ask for at BWV. Good luck and have a great trip.

i would request across from tennis courts. There’s an exit by the pond that takes you to the bus stop and parking lot. Also closer to DHS. If steps are a problem, request first floor.

Bill - you must be unlucky, I get my request almost every time. Recently I’ve been giving them 5 or 6 room numbers.

I think I’m a little better than 50% on requests at BWV. For a GV, I request the one story. I request near the elevator for any other units.

haha.....if you are down by the tennis courts, which is where you might also be close to parking, the trees have grown so bushy down there you can't really see much that isn't branches.

This location does have a plus or two - quick access to the bus stop and a back door to DHS for those that walk there.

No elevator down there so the 4th floor can become a liability, unless you really like stairs.

The standard rooms are along the driveway and at the end facing the parking area. But, they've tried to put me in a garden view a time or two. I don't care for that myself.

I almost always get the room I want, because I'm almost sure they have a note somewhere on me that says 'down by the tennis courts as far away as possible'. And when I haven't been assigned this room, I ask and have no problem being reassigned.
