Any chance of getting a standard view 2BR at BWV in October at the 7 month window?

Is there "a chance"? Sure.

I wouldn't think it's a great chance, but you never know until you try. And of course you can waitlist. I hope things work out for you.

that is doing the wine/food festavial - so I would greatly doubt it - doesn't mean impossible - just hard.

Call once a week then every day at 60 days or sooner.

of course I have been wrong before - so hopefully I am this time.

I once got a standard view during Dec at the 31 day mark. So it can happen.

standard view is tough one that time of year I already have my rooms a one bed and studio standard - and I booked right at the 11 month window,there are only a small percentage of these and they do go fast

I was on the waitlist for a standard view 2bdr at the Boardwalk, last October 16-24th. It never came through.

Never say never! I'm still amazed at my experience getting a BWV standard view for the first full weekend in December. It's not my home resort, so at 11 months I called and reserved at my home resort so I'd at least be assured of a place to stay. The CM was very nice and just for my curiosity, she checked on BWV standard view studios. They were already booked. At 7 months, I called and just said, "I'd like to be put on the waiting list for a standard view studio at the BW." Boy, was I surprised when the CM said, "Waiting list? Don't you want the one I have available now?"

There are always cancellations, so get on a waitlist if one is not available. We have 2 rooms booked in October but it is possible that one family in our party will not be able to go for medical reasons, so we would then cancel one room.

I hope you have better luck than I did. Last month (ten months out) I tried to get a standard studio for the 23rd to the 26th and I had to take a preferred view. My sister wasn't sure she and my nephew would be able to make it, or if they could, how long they could go for, so we missed calling at the 11-month mark for them. I called exactly at 11-months for DH and myself and secured a 1BR for the week.

Being that it's during the Food & Wine Festival, you may have a long wait, but you never know until you try. Good luck.
