BWV Standard view rooms...

We are purchasing a small add on at our current home of OKW or BWV. The only reason to buy BWV would be the 11 month window for standard view rooms. Typically, are they available right at 11 months or are they so few and far between that it is a crap shoot, even at 11 months? We would be booking studios and 1 BR a majority of the time.

The standard view rooms are about 20% of the total resort. So if you book closer to the 11 month time frame, you should get them. These are along the main drive.

We've owned BWV for 13 years and only book standard-view at 11 months and have always gotten what we wanted. They go quickly after that since, as the previous poster mentioned, there are a relatively small number of standard-view units and the lower point totals make them extremely popular.

Thanks guys, thats what I needed to know. I figured as much, but just wanted to double check. Looks like we will be adding a small BWV contract

Much to my surprise, I got a standard view 1 BR at BWV for 5 nights in mid-April... on Tuesday. Yup, I was shocked, too. Less than 3 months out. Couldn't believe when I saw it online.

I've never had a problem booking a Standard view at 11 months at BWV.

We haven't had an issue at eleven months either, although I've called late in the day for reservations during Food and Wine and been told that there aren't many left.

If calling for Food and Wine or early December, call at eleven months - not at ten and a half. You could be fine at ten and a half, but those times of year it isn't unheard of for rooms to be unavailable if you wait just a week or two.

At 11 months you should be ok but it also depends on the time of year. It gets a bit stickier around Food and Wine and near Christmas.

it is also a problem during Thanksgiving week - christmas week - and easter week.

you need to call early!!!

Wow I am amazed that no one had problems with SV in 11 month window... of course we book a studio... and that ease of booking has not been our experience...for Oct or Dec... or March

We have never had a problem booking standard view at 11 months either.

I looked today for our stay end of august for 7 nights and one bedroom standard was availible.was very suprised.

In the past, we've booked our 1 bd st view day by day for during F&W. We always figured better safe than sorry.

This year we booked the first week all at once about 4 days into our window, and then added 3 days a few days later. 3 weeks later (so at about 10 months) I was able to add another day.
