You are correct, there are no studios next to each other. At the BWV you will find a one bedroom next to a studio so that is can be used as a 2 bedroom. Since you both have standard view you can't be across from each other either, since standard is on one side of the hall and preferred/pool view is on the other side of the hall. Hopefully same floor and have it checked as "traveling with" another family will help. I find after that I made no other request as your request would affect 2 studios. I was thrilled to be 5 units and an exit door away from my DD and family last week as that was the closest we've ever been. We were in room 1123 and she was in room 1113. Normally we just get a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom, but she wasn't certain if she was going, so I booked 2 studios that trip. Good luck.

That would have been a good reason to get a two bedroom villa instead of two studios. There is no guarantee that they will be close to each other.

There are some dedicated studios that do not connect to a one bedroom villa.

Yes there are some dedicated studios. I was actually in one (1123) but it was because I was next to the exit door. Yes, we were hoping for close too as our grand daughters (6 and 3) were in the other studio. Your member can request a dedicated studio, but it won't help you be near the other family (I don't know if there are 2 dedicated ones even near each other. Often they are dedicated because they are near the ice-machine or exit door -- not sure of the pattern. When I called members' services I asked them about my DD's family and she said there was a button (or choice) she could make that let her note that we were traveling with another family. During another phone call with MS I did ask about that reservation again and the CM pulled it up and confirmed the information was noted. BTW I did not do online check in on this last trip (last week) and got my request. In the past I used online checkin and got NONE of my request. If I want to get into my room early I do online checkin, if I want to hopefully get my request, I skip the online checkin.

Of course they are, but you pay the price when you are with a larger group. If you wanted a guarantee that you would be close to the other family, the two bedroom villa was the only way to go.
