We have never stayed at BWV's before. We did a lot of resort hoping during our Christmas trip and we came up with a question.

For our May trip we have our first night reserved in a standard view studio at BWV. If I were able to get a guaranteed boardwalk view instead would that guarantee that we would see the Epcot fireworks from our studio? Is it possible to see the fireworks from any floor if you have a boardwalk view? The points difference is only 3 and if we could see the fireworks from our studio then I would try to switch our standard view to boardwalk view. If it is not guaranteed than I figure we should just keep our standard view.

Yes - you should be able to see the higher level fireworks from any of the boardwalk view rooms. The view is probably better from the upper floors, though.

Best wishes -

Almost all (I'm only saying that to cover myself incase I'm wrong) of BW View rooms have views of Illuminations. Most of the BW Views also have a view of the higher fireworks from Wishes. There are a few of the standard views that also have a view of Illuminations. If you really are looking for fireworks, BW view is the way to go.

Don't count out the possibility of seeing the fireworks from a SV. I was in the 3rd floor studio and saw the fireworks, higher ones, from Illuminations.

We have stayed at the BW about 7 times and to be honest the best view we had was from a standard view room. I dont know what it takes to get a room overlooking the BW but that would be great. I found it's just as easy to walk down to the bw and over to the bridge near the ESPN club and you get a great view. :boat:

The best view we have had of fireworks was from room 5013 - way down at the end of the hall. Fabulous view. We were in 2034 or so once and I don't remember seeing the fireworks at all, so we may not have been able to see them. And we were just in room 5081 (SV) and had a great view.

Whether you stay with SV or move to PV - I would ask for a room away from the elevator and on an upper floor for the two requests.

From BW view, you can see the high fireworks (not what is on the ground)However, the views progress from good to not that good from the end of the building to the courtyard -- the views are best from those rooms over where the DVC office used to be and over Big River Grille and worse from the rooms that are over the center courtyard. All lock-off studios with BW view are over Big River Grille or where the DVC office used to be. All dedicated studios with a bW view run from the courtyard are down over the main store.

3 of the 4 times I stayed in a standard view we had a great view of the fireworks from Illuminations. Room numbers 3121, 4103 and 3123. From 3123, the large corner 1 bedroom above the fountain, we could also see Fantasmic fireworks (and hear the show) from our bedroom balcony. The 4th standard view I had was across from the Swan, no fireworks view. I believe it was 3002.

We had one of those "not great" fireworks BW Views - right over the Screen Door. So close to the elevators, low floor - most of the fireworks were blocked by the building itself. We could see "some" high fireworks, but not great. I wouldn't bother just for fireworks.
