For a standard view, I always request top floor, across from the bus stop. Never have been disappointed. Always got 3rd or 4th floor (no 5th in this area) between the bus stop and the pond. Great fireworks view. One time I hit the jackpot and got the large corner room (3123).

we had one of those rooms once (2nd floor) & would happily pay preferred points for them might be worth asking, tho we all know how "requests" work.........
After I got 3123, on my next trip I requested 2123, 3123 or 4123, ended up down by Jellyrolls! This was a few years ago when the rooms facing the old red building were standard. Learned my lesson about requesting a specific room #.
are there different point values for rooms at BWV??? i'm hopin to get a 2bdrm on a top floor facing epcot and another room (studio) nearby. i didn't know that there were preferred pt values or standard pt values at this resort...

Yes, there are different point valuations. You can book a standard view, which looks out over the front drive, a preferred view which will give you a view of gardens or water (pools or canal) or a boardwalk view which is exactly what it says..a view of the boardwalk. The standard view is fewer points than the preferred/boardwalk view. Only DVC members, staying on points can book a boardwalk view. There are actually some preferred views that give you a nice enough view of the boardwalk just past the village green area...actually one of my favorite parts of Boardwalk.
