Normally I don't make requests and I know that they are not guaranteed but I was wondering if there is a better floor or area to request to see Illuminations. I was so excited to get a BW view room but was wondeirng if a higher floor room is better. I don't care about a long walk to our room I just want the best view of Illuminations so DD can see them since she is autistic and depending on her mood she may not be willing to see them because of the noise.

Essentially any room with boardwalk view is fine for seeing upper level fireworks at Epcot (and by the way at MK). The ones you want to avoid are the few rooms on the first floor which are right on the boardwalk (anyone walking by can look into room). Thus request upper floor or anything above first floor.

I always request top floor. Usually get 3 or 4 and always get a good fireworks view.

The best views are those farthest from the elevators (x001, x003, etc.) and upper floor. But really you can see the fireworks from any BW view room. I think that your plan for your autistic child to view the fireworks from the balcony is a great one. Hope you have an absolutely magical stay! pixiedust:

Trying to visualize this and I'm seriously doubting that rooms near the elevator (ie over the Screen Door Gift Shop) can see any of the fireworks since they face Yacht Club. Right? Wouldn't you need to be further along towards the Jelly Rolls end of the resort?

No, we've had those rooms. Low fireworks there are blocked by landscaping and ESPN, but you see high ones. The farther down and higher up you go, the less the ESPN building is in the way. Y&BC is about 90 degrees away from the fireworks.

But the farther down and higher up you go, the less convenient you are to elevators. If you don't mind taking stairs or don't mind the long hall, its fine

All boardwalk view rooms basically face, when you look straight out, the boat dock for BC/YC and if you look somewhat to right you see Spaceship Earth.

Here's a picture when we stayed in 4041, which was above the store. We could see the fireworks.

Thanks for the pic. Looks good!

THanks so much guys!! I think I will call MS tomorrow and just request an upper floor room. Either way I will be very excited to stay at the BW. Trying to convince DH of an add on there so a great room with a great view should get me one LOL
