BWV room request question! Smoking-non smoking rooms?

I am making a reservation at the 11 month window at our home resort of the BWV. We are requesting a studio for my wife, myself and 1 year old. I requested a boardwalk view and thats the only request I made. I want to maximize our chances of getting that request since we have been at the BWV 3 times and never received the boardwalk view, with a one bedroom, two bedroom and studio. I always made the reservation at the 11 month window, daily and early at 9am each day. This time, after reading the board I decided it would help if I started the reservation on a Saturday night with the high points.

My question is, are there smoking rooms with a boardwalk view, or are there smoking rooms at all. Do they smell if there are any, and what is the status of Florida in terms of smoking rooms. We are from New York where they are almost non existant. I realize that if I request no smoking it will diminish our chances of getting a boardwalk view room.

We really bought into BWV to get the view once in a while, especially with the young one, it would really be nice to have that view at night.

Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

I believe all the smoking rooms at BWV are on the second floor, but not the whole second floor, so the numbers are limited. There are 4 floors with BW views so about 3/4 should be non-smoking. I've never stayed in a smoking room at BWV but did at CSR and the smell never left even though we ran an ionizer constantly. If you want to maximize your chances of a BW view, you could not list a smoking preference but that backfired on a friend, she ended up with a smelly smoking room facing Luna Park.

We stayed in a smoking room twice and didnt notice any smell. The only problem we had with our Boarwalk veiw was getting our 5 year to get in bed at night. :bounce:
