I just called Member Services today, Monday Dec. 15, 2003 to make a reservation at my home resort, Boardwalk Villas. Arriving Sunday Oct. 24, 2004, staying 5 nights in a studio, departing Friday morning Oct. 29, 2004. This is over 10 months in advance.

First of all there are no standard view studios for these dates. I then requested Preferred Boardwalk View. Only got 3 of the nights, not 24 or 28. Got Preferred View ( not gauranteed Boardwalk View ) for the 24 and 28. Waitlisted for the Preferred Boardwalk View for the other 2 nights, ( 24 and 28 ). This is for a studio.

If you look at the rooms available in both catagories you'll see that combined they make up the minority of the rooms, preferred/non BW view are the majority. Either you want to get the view or save the points. Folks have learned that if you want those prize rooms you need to call the first day they're available and book them day by day to get them. Last week I booked six nights in 11/04 first thing in the AM for a BW view 2BR and had no problems. It's far enough out that chances are that the waitlist would come through, but you never know. I think that's around the golf ternement time and maybe a bunch of corporate typesfolks have booked the rooms. Either way good luck in getting your choice filled.

I think the Food and Wine Festival is also going on at that time. I would think that studios are very popular due to lack of the need for a kitchen!

I think alot of couples go without the kids for the food & wine festival, booking studios.

I think if you waitlist it will probably come through. There seem to be a fair number of cancellations. I know I called a week ago and got a standard view 1 BR for 2 months away. It is Valentines Day and President's weekend. I even got the choice of points or cash with discount.

I do believe many people are booking at exactly 11 months to have views and such and that it clears up a little a 7 month window and sporadecially until 31 days before.

Good luck
Sandy

Dumbo, I think this is a high demand time for the Epcot DVC resorts because of the convenience of being close to F&W. Also, MNSSHP is going on in this time period---so yet another high demand event. Good luck.....hope your waitlist comes through. I have a feeling it will. Sending some pixie dust your way :wizard:
