This morning I called MS to start making my ressies for late Dec./early Jan. at BWV. Amazingly, I got through at 9:05. I was expecting it to take a lot longer. I'm calling in my ressie one day at a time because I'm going for a standard studio at peak time.
I've never stayed at BWV or explored the building, other than just strolling on the boardwalk one time. So I'm pretty unfamiliar with the set-up and views. But I have heard that it's not a good idea to try to make too many requests for room location, but just to focus on one or two. So I just said non-smoking facing Epcot. I've heard (but again, I don't really know) that Illuminations can sometimes be seen from standard view rooms. That's what we're kind of hoping we can see, because there will be a couple nights when we will probably be sticking close to home and would enjoy seeing some of the high fireworks, etc.
My question - Did I specify enough to have somewhat of a chance to see Illuminations? Or should I have also added "top floor facing Epcot" or "facing Illuminations" or something like that?
If it turns out that we don't get that view at all, we certainly won't be bent out of shape or anything. We're just so excited to stay at BWV for the first time and enjoy the pixie dust in general! On the other hand, if a well-worded request may give us a good shot at that view, that would be frosting on the cake! If I should change the wording of the request, I'll try to do that when I call back tomorrow.
Thanks for any insight you can give! 333 days to go, but who's counting?
