BWV reservation at 7 months out

Our home resort is OKW. I just tried to reserve a 2 bedroom standard view at BWV at 7 months for the following dates June 7 -16. MS tells me missing June 8 & 12 for the standard view but has the full week in preferred view. THen asked about 2 studios at BW for same dates standard view. MS tells me missing June 12 but has all dates in a preferred. June 8th I can understand since it is a Saturday but why June 12th a Wednesday. Is this a way to get you to move up the next level to preferred and have you use more points. Last year we had to settle for a preferred studio for the same reasons. any others had this problem and would you suggest wait listing for 1 night.

Doubt there is anything sinister going on. What is likely happening is that there are few openings for any standard view during the entire period and Wednesday just happens to be the day that has reached the max already and the others will likely do so soon.

I'd take the preferred and wait list the standard for the entire time. If you want to take your chances, take the days available in the standard and then make the unavailable days preferred and wait list the standard. Good luck.

Dean's right! I just got on a wait list on Monday for standard 1 bedroom for May and just got a call that the day came through today (Friday). People book their vacations so far out (at 11 months) then they end up changing days around when it gets closer to their actual vacation.

This just happened to me. I booked a 1Br-Standard view from 6/1 to 6/8 and only 6/3 (monday) wasn't available. So I booked the rest of the week in two separate reservations and wait-listed that one day. Before I got the confirmation sheets, the wait list had already come through. I was impressed. This will be a great vacation, one week in HH followed by one week at BWV. We are VWL owners and haven't been to either of these two resorts. We are quite excited!
