BWV Requests

Confirmed for a mid Jan trip to Boardwalk Villas, studio garden view using my points. First time staying there so tips on what to request or other suggestions particular to the Boardwalk area would be great. Its just me and my DGF and we are already counting down!!

Your garden view doesn't have a view of the boardwalk so I don't know what kind of request you are thinking of when you say boardwalk area?

It all depends on what you think you want....
Some people like close to the elevator, but those rooms have balconies that overlook the valet area - not a particularly pleasant view IMHO

I always prefer a high floor, but again, JMO

Personally, I like the "pond view" 3rd. 4th or 5th floor -Not sure the reservationists really know what the pond view is.... I can't recall the room numbers offhand

If you request farthest from the elevator - hgih floor, you will likely be able to see the few fireworks that are launched during fantasmic at DHW - but your view will be either full parking lot - or part parking lot and part walkway to DHS

One of my best rooms was a 3rd floor - looking right out at the pond. it was a bit of a hike from the elevator, but had a nice view of the pond, and I would just drop down the two flight of stairs and walk right out to the are by the quiet pool. I would almost never enter view the lobby, but would instead walk around to the quiet pool and take the stairs up.

Thanks Rpsemont.. Thanks for the tip on the elevators, and I like your 3rd floor idea. We are going to try to waitlist for Boardwalk view but I am not counting on it.
Opinions on the local eats are welcome as well. Have seen a mixed bag on that. Wondering about the whole Boardwalk itself, performers etc. Mid January, will the Walk be active or kind of slow. Thanks all.

I enjoyed being at the end of the hallway since it was close to the quiet pool, not sure if that is garden view though.

We are also going to be staying at BWV in mid January. 1/19 to 1/26 and have a Garden View Studio booked. We are also on the wait list for Boardwalk view. Good luck and let me know how you make out.

Keep your expectations reasonable. I've never had a view request at BWV met - and the best room I've ever gotten had no view request at all on it. Other people have better luck, but BW doesn't seem to try too hard on these.

we got a bwv garden view room at the 30 day mark. I called that day and put in a request for this view and to my surprise we got it. We were on the third floor and got one of the huge balconies- we could see the fireworks from illuminations and spaceship earth from our room along with a small section of the boardwalk.
