BWV Report - 2/17-2/23

Going through the Disney withdrawal! But here is a quick report!!

ROOM

Perfect!! 5051 Boardwalk view, top floor. Looked like it was freshly painted and absolutely no problems at all!!! And being a BVC person, I was looking to find some.

INTERNET - Brought my DS(13)'s I-Touch for wireless email but it would not connect or recognize the Hot Spot in the lobby - No one at BWV could help me connect. Told me the only place I could get it was at Disney's Wide World of Sports - evidently Apple's I Touch is configured differently.

TEMP - 65-77 during the week, only one day warm enough to swim. But a lot better than the 28 degrees we just came home to..... AGHHH!

STORM-ALONG-BAY - BVCers READ THIS - We went to Storm-Along-Bay. Area by the slide and middle section are all redone and open - HOWEVER - to those of you that love the whirlpool section - they lowered the speed and it hardly goes around at all now. Asked a few lifeguards but none knew why - Oh what a mistake - we loved that whirlpool, now its a disappointment. My DS(13) got out and said it was boring.

PARKS - Moderately crowded. You would not think there was a recession. My DW, DS and I all maxed out Buzz Lighyear each scoring 999,999 on the same ride through. Miracle!!

MAGICAL EXPRESS - No issues other than about 60 people were in line when we flew in at MCO at about 1pm. Took about 25 minutes to check in.

BIGGEST PROBLEM - Waiting about 13 months for the next trip!!!

RUMORS -

1. ESPN - Just signed a new 10 year lease and is likely going to stay on the Boardwalk for a while - per the waitress at ESPN.

2. BWV - Going to have a total renovation in the next year per the front desk people.

3. SWAN & DOLPHIN - Lease with Disney ends next year and Disney may take them back - per the security guards. Question is, would Disney want them?

4. New construction next to Buzz Lightyear - no idea what they are building

how do you get to use SAB if staying at BWV. Is the pool at BWV being worked on?

I hope disney does get the S/D if only for the heavenly beds

So glad to hear a positive room report!!! We love BW view, so glad to hear its in great shape. What benefits does S&D get with a lease with Disney? Can't wait for the total renovation....then posters will have to pick another resort to "bash"! Thanks again....

how do you get to use SAB if staying at BWV. Is the pool at BWV being worked on?

After 4pm you can generally get in without a problem. I asked the lifeguard if he minded and he had no problem - we also own at BCV so that might have helped.

The BWV pool was not being worked on. I did notice SAB temp was cold!!!!

There is a new stage being costructed for a show called Stitch's Supersonic Celebration in tommorowland. That's probaby what you saw.
