We've just returned after staying for 8 nights (10/27-11/4) in a 1 BR Boardwalk view room in the Crest 'o the Wave Building (5001 - the very last room!) Monday morning before checkout I noticed that none of the other rooms on the fifth floor in that building had furniture on the balcony, and it looked as though the workers were beginning the put up the alternate entrance to the DVC offices so it looks like they are about the begin that portion of the renovation work. The one side of the Luna Park rooms were still under scaffolding, as were the rooms facing the tennis court.

Just thought I'd bring everyone up-to-date as I sit here back in damp rainy Pennsylvania. I miss BWV!

Lisa,

Thanks so much for your response about UA/IOA. I am also wondering if you liked the activities around the Boardwalk on Halloween. Did you also do a MNSSH on 10/31?

I am thinking about reserving the BWV around 10/31 next year to participate in the Halloween activities and the F&W festival.

Thanks

I would suggest not going to MNSSHP on Halloween. It was extremely crowded as compared to when I went the prior year earlier in October. I wish I had hung out around the Boardwalk area on Halloween and saved the money.

Sgtpet, I also agree with you. We did MNSSHP on 10/31, and thought it was packed. The rides were empty (which was nice) but the lines for trick or treat so long my kids did not want to wait in them. We never did find a spot for the family photo. DH was getting annoyed with me saying "We have to go here for the fireworks" and "We need to line up for the parade now." Had I known about the BoardWalk activities before I ordered the tickets, I probably would have just stayed on the BoardWalk. The decorations looked very cool, and it probably would have been a much more relaxing evening.
