BWV questions

Hello - my family will be traveling to BWV at the end of October and we have 2 small children (3yrs and 10 months). We have never stayed at BWV before and have a few questions. Any help is greatly appreciated:

1. We have a garden/pool preferred view. Can anyone recommend what room location I should try to request? I know village green is preferable, but is there another location I can specifically mention that is close to the boardwalk where we won't have so many long hallways to navigate?

2. We are on the "quick service" dining plan but I don't believe there are any counter service restaurants at BWV. Would I be better off with the "basic" dining plan for this stay or are there places we could use the quick service in the vicinity?

3. Is there a "general store" where we can get milk, mug refills etc?

Thanks for your help:)

Luna pool view would essentially put you fairly close to the elevator and thus won't have to walk down stairs for quick access to boardwalk and thus you might request it.

Don't use dining plans so cannot answer that one but true that there is no counter service restaurant -- you can get quick service items and mugs filled at bakery, sweet shop, and pool bar.

General store does have milk and other items at normal outrageous resort prices. No mug refill in store.

"Low floor, close to the elevators" gives you the worst views generally, but the best access to the pool and the boardwalk. Figure out where the "tunnel" is between the pool and the Village Green - the stairs are on the pool side and figuring out where to grab the stairs is key.

Remember that the lobby and the pool/Boardwalk at Boardwalk are on two separate floors - there isn't a good place at the Boardwalk that won't involve using the stairs, if you are on the ground floor, you'll be taking stairs/elevator to get to the bus stop. If you are on the first floor, you'll be taking the stairs to the pool. If you are above the first floor, you'll be taking the stairs/elevator ALL the time.

You can also walk to the Hess station which, in general, has both a better selection and better prices. -- Suzanne

There is a lot of quick service dining available at both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, which is probably the reason there isn't much at Boardwalk / Beach Club. You'll have to travel to your quick service location each night which might be a bit of a hassle given the ages of your two children. If you think you'd just like to relax at the end of the day rather than do a "forced march" to dinner, you might be better to upgrade to the basic plan.

Actually the Boardwalk Bakery has very good sandwiches and snacks for use on the Quick Service Plan.

Just returned home from Boardwalk yesterday...we refilled our mugs at the Bakery, Pizza window, and Belle Vue lounge on the 2nd floor just off the lobby. Also, Hurricane Hannahs was a short walk (pool at Yacht/Beach club just past the ship on the beach) was a great option for quick service burgers/hotdogs and a few other choices that I can't seem to remember. But I was glad we had a table service for dinner.
