BWV question

Hi,

My husband and I are trying to decide which resort to pick. He likes OKW. He's not a fancy type guy

I like BCV, but I think they are probably sold out. We are looking into BWV. (They are probably sold out also) Looking at the pictures the room faces the Boardwalk. Doesnt it get kinda loud? There seems like there is alot to do, but I wont be able to if I can't sleep at night

Deb, you should buy where you like the most. As far as I know the only resorts not sold out are SS and Vero Beach. You can buy the others at the timeshare store site. It is not really noisy on the boardwalk and we like it there. You can't always get boardwalk though. We own at OKW and it is very fancy, just not set up like a hotel. The rooms are larger and it is much quieter to us. If you haven't stayed there is it hard for you to know the best for you. I know you will get lots of info here and hopefully it will help.

If you DH likes OKW, and you like the Boardwalk area, I would suggest you purchase at BWV or BCV through resale, because there is always greater availability at OKW at the 7 month window than at the Epcot resorts. That way, you will be assured of getting to stay in the Epcot World showcase area AND the OKW resort for both of you.

just an fyi but as of last week there were points available for sale through DVC at the BWV. call a guide!

BWV is not a noisy resort at all. I have stayed in a boardwalk view villa quite a few times and have never been bothered by any noise. Once you close the balcony doors you do not hear a thing.
All the DVC resorts are available through resale, so really you can own at which ever resort you decide is right for you family.

Thanks everyone! It just seem like the balcony doors were right in the hub of the excitement. I'll call DVC and see what they have now.

First you really can't go wrong with any location. I own BCV and love it. I have stayed at WLV and the resort is wonderful, but I prefer a brighter theme. I loved the BWV also. We stayed there before we purchased and we had a view of the quiet pool, waterway and the Tower of Terror. It was not loud at all in that area, it was actually very tranquil. I can not speak about BW view rooms, but they are difficult to get anyway. We really liked the area, so when BC came available we jumped on it. Good Luck!
