I am coming in and on the ifrst day they have me in BWV a one room BW view. Then they moving me to a 2 bedroom with a pool/ garden view- DOnt need 2 bedroom really, Should I ask to let us stay in one bedroom with BW view??

All 2BR are lock offs so you can just use the 1BR part and not bother with the studio attached. Both views cost the same points (in a 1BR). But BW and P/G are separate categories. So if you booked a 1BR BW view and that's what you want then tell them that. If it's more than just 2 of you, then I'd be pleased with the 2BR. Extra real bed and extra bathroom. Plus, personally, BW view is noisy. Well, in busy times it is (when lots of folks are mulling around on the BW and they have the magicians performing out there and movies under the stars on the grassy space and the carnival games in action). If you are going soon, then it probably will be relatively quiet and a good time to have BW view. So it's up to you....can you use the 2nd real bed and 2nd bathroom....or would you rather sit on balcony and look at the boardwalk?

What did you book, and with cash or DVC points? If you’re moving (or booked to be moved) from BW view to P/G view, the BW view might be booked up and unavailable. It’s very popular with owners and a smaller number of villas relative to P/G.

I booked with DVC points. My step sister is DVC. We moved our original trip ( cold cancel) and the only thing they had was 2 bedrooms so we booked that. Then we decided to stay one more day so booked and the only thing they had was a one bedroom BW view.

Ah. Well, you could check to see whether availability has changed since you booked and ask to stay in the 1 bedroom. Just keep in mind that a 1 bedroom BW view will cost fewer points than a 2 bedroom P/G view, so your step sister would probably have points left over, if that's a consideration. In normal times those points would go into holding if the change is made 30 days or less from check-in, but I'm not sure what would happen to them nowadays!

That doesn't make any sense. All of the two bedroom units are just a one bedroom and a studio. If a two bedroom was available, then a studio and a one bedroom would have been available, too. You might be able to cancel and rebook into the one bedroom unit, but there is some risk.

Note that the 2 bedroom is P/G view, the 1 bedroom is BW view. OP was asking whether they could stay in the 1 bedroom BW view instead of moving to the P/G view. I agree it’s interesting that when they booked the 2 bedroom, they were reportedly told that no 1 bedrooms were available.

I agree that is strange because it’s usually the opposite. You can get the 1 bedroom and not the 2 bedroom.

DVC points stays don’t work the same as cash. You are booked in two different categories,

So, they can’t just keep you in the same room because if it’s not available for your step sister to book now, it means those rooms are already booked,

Now, what may be possible, is to have her keep checking to see if a 1 bedroom pool view opens up and switch you to that,

This way, you do have a better chance of not having yo move if they have a studio opening up next to it the day you become a 2 bedroom,

But, as long as you are different categories, it won’t work.
