BWV Preferred View?

We have a 1 BR & a Studio Preferred View in January. Just curious, what are the possible "preferred views"?

I printed out the Resort Map and we did stay at BWI last year, so don't worry about being too descriptive! The more details, the better.

What are the chance of getting a room overlooking the Boardwalk? This would be absolutely incredible!

There is actually a category of room now for Boardwalk. If your confirmation does not state 'Boardwalk view', you will not have a Boardwalk view. The other Preferred views are overlooking the canal and either the quiet pool or Luna Park.

ms now has a BW preferred view - so call MS and ask if you can get one - at this late date you probably can't.

the other - main pool, quiet pool, and the backside of the resort - along the lagoon toward the Studios. - also the garden view (where is kind of bw view and also a view of the BWI - across the courtyard....

Ok, please excuse my confusion. I'm not a DVC member, yet...

I'm renting points, so the owner made our ressies with a Preferred View. Are you saying there is yet another category within "Preferred" for BW View. Is this more points? Or, is it just something you can request? Can it be guaranteed if it's available?

yes, you can have the member you rented from try to book a Preferred Boardwalk View room. it costs the same # of points as Preferred Pool/Garden View.
Bw Views are generally in high demand, because yes, they do guarantee you will have a view of the Boardwalk.
it's very likely that all Boardwalk View rooms are sold out already.
but in theory, the member you rented from could put you on the waitlist to change your reservation to a Boardwalk View room. it's a bit more hassle, so check with them to see if they'll help you out!

I do not believe that the rooms over Wyland Gallery overlooking the BWI across the courtyard and the BW off to the left are considered to be garden view. They have been considered to be BW views in our experience.
