BWV Pool Rehab

The last time the slide was down for painting (Oct 2003) they allowed pool hopping to SAB, complete with golf cart transportation. Hopefully they will do the same this time!

I've got my fingers crossed that they will allow BWV guest to use SAB.

I called MS this morning and they still know nothing about the rehab I was thinking about changing my ressie to Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge .. but I like the points on the standard view boardwalk

The rehad notice was also posted on All Ears...

"- Keister Coaster pool slide at the BoardWalk Resort will be closed for rehab September 6-26, 2005."

I decided to keep my reservation for know and see what happens in the next week or so...

Just an aside on the rehabs - we arrived at BWV in Oct 2003 while the slide was down for painting and they reopened it the day they said they would.

Then we arrived at BCV a week after the planned finish of the three section rehab to SAB. They had reopened that, also on the day they said they would.

Experience with these two might suggest they are pretty good with estimating/meeting timeframes for the rehabs.

I've read this as well. What a bummer since We will be at BCV sept 14-21. My dd was more excited to pool hop and try keister Coaster over SAB. I told her there is always next year.

I called the Boardwalk directly and talked to someone in management. He checked with engineering and they have not heard anything about the rehab I went ahead and switched my reservation today to Wilderness Lodge. We will be at the Dolphin the first 3 nights of our vacation so we will have "done" the Epcot area anyways! I did not want to give up the "standard view" but maybe next time we can try out the Boardwalk!

On my first trip to WDW in September 2001 I stayed at BWV and the pool was rehabbed until all but the last day of my vacation. They provided boat taxi to Stormalong Bay, it was great. Other days we just used the quiet pool.

Bumping this back up, just read that rehab was scheduled 9/6-9/26 (yep, I've been out of the loop for awhile). Has anyone heard yet if they will allow pool hopping to SAB? We will there 9/24-10/01.
