I have heard that they have addressed the (unbelievable) issue of sharing a bus route with 7 resorts and split up the stops for buses?? Please tell me it's no longer Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Beach Club Villas, Boardwalk Inn and Boardwalk Villas??
I haven't been to our home resort in a long while and am hoping for the best.
Have they finally split up the stops??
I remember reading a old post from Doc saying that maybe just Swan, Dolphin and Boardwalk for MK and AK?
If you've been recently and ridden the buses...I would appreciate your input.
I know this is transportation question...however it really is more important to those of us with a long term investment in Disney Vacation Club and if you are like me, you might not have appreciated having to wait for a second or even third bus to pull away loaded to the hubcaps with DVC members that are supposed to be staying at a deluxe resort?
How they could ever get away with this treatment for all the cash paying guests at all these resorts still completely boggles my mind.
I apologize for the negative tone...but my last few trips to the BWV bus stops have been horrible. :confused3
Thank you ;)

I have'nt been there since the summer and it was still the same. We have always felt a little left out when it comes to buses. I remember standing outside of the MK one nite and watching bus after bus heading to the all star.I understand they have alot more guests but 1 bus would have been nice, and then when 1 comes your the last stop on the route.I think the problem is that there is'nt enough people to warrant a special bus just for the bwv.

We were there a while ago (April 04), but when they picked us up at BWV, the bus was empty. On the return, sometimes it was 2 stops and sometimes more. I would just ask the bus driver and if there were many stops, we would get off at the Swan and it was a short walk over to BWV. Sorry I can't tell you for sure if the problem has been corrected.

I'm at BWV right now, we went to MK Monday night and Tuesday, it seems during peak times they split the buses, after the MK fireworks Monday night our bus stopped at Boardwalk first then was going to Beach and Yacht clubs only. On Tuesday we left during the late afternoon and the bus stopped everywhere with Boardwalk being the last stop.

We rode to MK both days and the service was good, not much of a wait and the buses were pretty empty, the only time it was busy was after the MK fireworks, after we got on I would say the line was at least two buses worth of people.

We stayed at BWV the first week of Nov. 2004. We found that the buses were all different. Mostly they combined BW with the Swan & Dolphin. We only once during our trip stopped at the Y & B Club. I don't remember where we were going then.

We were there over Thanksgiving and for the most part we shared with only S/D. Sometimes we actually continued to Y/BC but it was pretty infrequent. We didn't have any issue with the bus service.

When I was there last week the MK bus stopped at only the Swan and Dolphin on the way to the MK. They stopped at BWV first on the way back from the MK, before going to Swan and Dolphin (yes I got off at BWV but the driver announced the route before leaving the MK, that's how I know). I do recall from past trips that the later bus service did indeed stop at more resorts, the ones the OP mentioned, Yacht and Beach. I assume when there are less guests to transport (at non peak times) they try to use less buses. It IS annoying, I agree.

Often if the weather is decent and the bus from the MK or the MGM/Epcot boat stops at Dolphin or Swan or Y&B before BWV I get off and walk the short distance back to Boardwalk. I don't have young kids so I find it a lot less stressful to get off the bus (or boat) and walk under 5 minutes back to BWV. If I am exhausted or it's pouring or burning hot I'll wait it out, otherwise I walk.

Actually the whole bus thing is a pet peeve of mine. No matter what those buses just don't feel "magical", especially compared to the monorail. I know that powers that be deemed it too costly to build more monorails, but I sure wish it was different. :wave2:

We were there over Marathon Weekend (Jan 9) and had to share buses with Dolphin and Swan too, on pick-up they stopped at BW first which is fine, but on drop off they stopped at the Swan and Dolphin prior to the BW, which I don't think makes sense, if those are the three hotels that have to share the route I believe the "Disney" hotel should be the first stop both ways. So on another trip back from MK and waiting ages for a BW bus we took a Yacht & Beach and walked over, you can bet we beat the BW bus!

go over to the resorts board - CHip n' Dale Express drives a bus these days.

He told me sometimes during not busy time they share a bus - during busy times each resort has its own.

We stayed at BWV for the Martin Luther King holiday weekend and used buses for MK and AK. The buses stopped at Swan and Dolphin and Boardwalk only and we didn't have to wait long for buses in either direction. Much better than our last stay a year and a half ago when the buses were shared with the Yacht and Beach Clubs.
