Please give me some pro and cons for each resort. I am looking at doing an add on and would like to purchase one of the two resorts.

Any information will be greatly appreciated

If I had to decide between those two, I'd base it on whether or not I wanted easy access to Epcot/Hollywood Studios vs. the Magic Kingdom. Both resorts are very nice. There is more to do in the Boardwalk area. Wilderness Lodge is more relaxing and has easy access to Fort Wilderness. It really depends on what all you like to do at WDW.

i luv them both;) why not split the difference & get both:) , use via banking/borrowing?

Where do you already own? Your points could go farther with standard views at BWV and there are GV's there. VWL is my favorite resort for atmosphere! VWL has dedicated 2 bedrooms, BWV doesn't. The lack of dedicated 2 bedrooms at BWV is the only reason we haven't stayed there yet with the DGC. We really want that 1 more bed in the 2 bedroom, and we're not sure our DGC won't try to roam.

We own at both!

I, personally, prefer BWV, but that's just me. I've always thought the boat ride to MK from VWL was overrated, but the bus is a really quick trip. I've had bad experiences at VWL when it comes to their transportation, so I would choose BWV based on that.

Pretty much I prefer the BWV as a resort overall, I like the restaurants better, the pool, the rooms seem bigger (are they?), the themeing of the BWVs is also more to my liking.

I agree with an a poster above. It depends on which parks you like to be near. I do like the Boardwalk for the evening entertainment factor. The side walk vendors and people watching.

It all depends on your personal taste. Good luck with your decision.

like BWV for the standard views

love VWL because of the atmosphere - would love it no matter where it was...

you can buy at both!

I own at BWV, VWL and OKW!

How did you narrow it down to those two resorts? You must have had some thought process to get down to those two options and if you share what's important to you we can probably help.

We own at both VWL and BWV and enjoy them both for very different reasons. If you looking at the best "deal", then SV at BWV is hard to beat. Also, the location at BWV is a little more park-friendly.

VWL is our favorite just because the theming, setting on Bay Lake and overall ambience make it a destination unto itself. Others see the same thing and call it too woodsy, poor location and too dark.

I like BWV for the location and the low points for standard view rooms. The Wilderness Lodge to me is the most beautiful resort on property. Depends on what is most important to you.

I appreciate everyones comments on the question. We currently own at SSR and do not ssem to have a problem getting in at SSR/OKW. BW SV seems very tough and VWL is iffy.

We arrived at the decision between the two because of the following:

We live in sunny Fla but love the mountains. VWL has the mountain feel.

BWV seems to be in the heart of it all and easy access to everything.

I see the advantage to owning a small 50-70 point contract to bank and borrow to get what I want

Keep the comments coming

Thanks again

If you would use the standard views....I would buy at BW so you can stretch those points longer.

I do love WLV though....tough choice they are my 2 favorites:goodvibes

Great input...helps us understand where you're coming from a bit more.

Since you already live in Florida, you might very much like the "mountain" feel of VWL. You will, at times, even forget that you are in Florida. To me, that's a huge plus for VWL since my vacations are about escape and relaxation. We don't "commando tour" the parks.

On the other hand, since you live so close my guess is that you may want to do several short trips a year (hopefully not all weekends!) and therefore want to "max out" your time there. That would suggest that BWV and its location would be a good fit.

You can't go wrong...both are great resorts. I think the banking/borrowing suggestion allowing you to own at both resorts is an excellent idea. One of the nice things you have going for you is that you live so close that you can pretty much use any "leftover points" even for a one night visit.
