BCV is not available for the nights that we need. Should we choose BWV or BLT?

We will be going to the parks early and probably spending afternoons at the hotel.

I've stayed at BWV but didn't like the pools. The main pool was a mob scene and the only unusual/fun element was the slide. The quiet pools seemed small.

I've never stayed at BLT.

I'm familiar with the locations and transportation options. Does anyone have other thoughts or opinions comparing these two hotels?

Kids will be 8 and 10.

Since you haven't stayed at BLT yet, try that. Not sure of the point difference though.

The pool at BWV is much larger, and there is a small quiet pool. There's also a quiet pool on the Inn side I think, but I've never looked for it.

Just the one pool at BLT and its more likely to be crowded. I think you have access to use the Contemporary's pool down by the dock as well. BLT pool has a small kids splash area that looked like fun.

I like the location of the Boardwalk better. Walk/short boat rides to two parks, versus a hike to the monorail station or quite-doable walk to the MK. There's more to do in the evenings at the Boardwalk as well. Our last trip we had a balcony over the Screen Door shop right where the performers stopped to juggle and do street magic every night. It was great to watch from above.

BWV is a long building with one set of elevators in the middle. If you get one of the ends, be prepared to hike. BLT is more compact.

There are more food choices at BWV, but not much counter service. There are no food choices *in* BLT, but a few very good ones in the Contemporary.

BLT can see the MK fireworks from some rooms, or from the roof lounge. BWV can see the top of the Epcot show over the trees, but a lot of that show is on the waterlevel and out of sight.

Parking (if you bring a car) is MUCH better at BLT. BWV suffers from too many people using the lots for park parking and lack of control by the gate guards. Plus the lots are all far from the building. (Remind me to shoot that idiot they just fired for taking away our valet perks!)

If you made me choose, I'd take BWV over BLT. But its close - that's why I own at both. :)

There are activities at the BWV pool, but there probably are at BLT too. There are Comminity rooms at both too. Since you weren't keen on BWV, why don't you try BLT this time.
