If you had to choose-While travelling over the July 4th holiday, would you choose 6 nights at the BCVs or 7 nights at the BWVs standard view?

You wont lose with either of these resorts so I'd be leaning towards the extra day.

I definately would chose the extra night at BWV.....

Unless you are a BWV owner and looking at 2005, I'd doubt your'll have much chance at getting your entire time in a standard view for this year. It never hurts to try though. So you may want to take what you can get. The best approach is to book what you can at your home resort at 11 months out then try to change over at the 7 month window if available. IF not, you can always wait list for the entire reservation.

I would say the longer the better! Whenever we get to the end of our vacation we are always wishing we made it longer (I am sure everyone does). So - go with the 7 days - you cant go wrong at either place!

In December I split my stay between these 2 resorts specifically so that I'd be able to compare. Although I had a nicer view of Illuminations from my BWV standard view studio, I'd go for BCV. Why? Theming-loved that beachy atmosphere, sand under my toes, sitting on the beach in those rocking chair-type benches overlooking the Boardwalk. However, if you don't have a strong theming preference (as obviously, I now know I do), I'd suggest BWV standard. But Beach-lover? BCV!

We had a similar dilemma for our August trip -- we went with the std view. Time beats a view any day, and the 2 resorts are so close to each other. Only show-stopper to this is if you or swimmers in your crew had your heart set on SAB... then you'd have to opt for BCV.

As for std availability -- if that's your choice, and you're talking about this July 4th -- bettercall now. The decision may already be made for you, if there's no stds left. We called for our std view day-by-day at the 11 month window; however, we also just converted 4 std view nights at the end of our 12 day trip to 4 nights over at SSR just for fun, so if there's other folks like us (who reserved std at 11 mos and now are swtiching resorts at 7 mos and less) you may stand a chance. Good luck!

I agree that the only show-stopper is SAB. If that's crucial to your family, and for some reason the nice pool system at BWV won't satisfy them, then go for BCV. Otherwise go for the longer stay. (I'm speaking as a BCV-lover, by the way. But my family spends more time in the parks than in the room.)
