BWV or BCV???

We are considering buying at either BWV or BCV. We like to stay at the BC at the end of Aug. and the BW in Nov or Dec.
Which would be harder to get reservations at 7 months out?
I know BW is busy in Nov and Dec. How hard is it to get BCV in late August?

Late August is not a difficult time to get ANY DVC resort, but if you are thinking you always want to stay at BCV, I would buy there, because it is a smaller resort and more difficult to get into, especially at certain times of the year. Have you stayed in the villas of both places? If not, you might want to rent points at each for a trip to check it out.

I agree with Diane. Both resorts are easy in August. Both resorts are VERY difficult in November/December. Actually ALL DVC resorts are difficult in December. Pick the one you prefer.

I also agree with Diane...with a caveat.

Many people like BWV because of the Standard View lower point cost schedule. Others like BWV because they think the rooms overlooking the boardwalk (Preferred View-Boardwalk View) are the best view in WDW. If either of these is critical to your decision, then you might want to consider buying at BWV.

If those don't mean much to you, then BCV is probably a good choice for the reasons already mentioned.

Based on my one experience with trying to book at BCV in late August, I'd suggest you buy there. For me, it was harder (impossible) to get. It's the only waitlist that never came through for me. Instead, I had a choice at BWV for what type of view-the BW view was available there only a month ahead of time, but not BCV. I'll admit the other reason I vote BCV-I love it there!

BWV have more rooms than the BCV so it is probably easier to book the BWV at the 7 month window. However, the more members joining the harder it will be to book at the 7 month window.

You may want to buy 2 contacts- 150 at BCV and the Rest at BWV.
