We are doing a split stay. For the second part of the week, we can stay in a 1 bedroom villa at BWV or a regular room at BC. I can’t make up my mind o_O We have stayed at BWV in the past but never BC. But it would be nice to have the extra room and washer/dryer at BWV. BC is slightly more money. Any thoughts?

I think you have some of the pros and cons listed already! A larger room with a w/d vs a regular studio/hotel room?

The location for both is very similar if you plan to walk or take easy transportation to HS/EP. If you plan to spend time at the pool, there's no comparison - BC's Stormalong Bay is far better than the pools at BW. But if you're not going to use the pool, it's not an issue. All things being equal, we very much prefer BC - but we also prefer a 1BR! Good luck with your decision!

I really liked the 1 br. Villa at BWV, ask for close to lobby tho’ - those halls are loong w/ twists and turns & only the one bank of elevators if you’re on an upper floor.
I’ve stayed a few times at YC, never BC, but a hotel room is, well … a hotel room. If you opt for BC request a full size balcony if you enjoy having one to avoid those Juliette balconies a lot of the BC rooms have (& my reason to opt for YC - I need a balcony!)

Unless the Stormalong Bay pool is important to you I would absolutely chose the BWV. No contest. We stayed in a BWV 1BR once on a bounce back offer. We really enjoyed the space. Our balcony looked out over the pool. It really spoiled us for our next trip back to a standard room at the BWI.

I'd go with BC...I've always wanted to try out Stormalong Bay. Our one experience at BWV left a lot to be desired as far as dining options and bus service.

For us, BC is the easy winner here. We like visiting the Boardwalk area, but the BWV have probably the biggest selection of poor room views and we just don't love the resort layout itself. We love the BC and YC vibe and yes, Stormalong Bay is a plus. BWV (along with AK and WL) are resorts we just don't bother to stay in any more. So for us, even with the studio, we would go Beach Club.

How are you planning on booking the BWV one bedroom? Renting points? Cash direct from Disney? Your own points? When is your stay? All of that could play into whether or not you could even book the BWV one bedroom.

If someone would have to sleep on the pullout at BWV, then I would vote for BC. I think those pullouts are very uncomfortable

A Beach Club Studio is slightly more than a 1-bedroom villa at the Boardwalk?

You've stayed at BWV but never BCV. Unless you really want Stormalong Bay, you're not missing much at BCV. (I've stayed at both several times.) Still, the BCV Studio sleeps 5, while the BWV 1BR only sleeps 4.

Double the space, a kitchen, a washer & dryer, and a shorter walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Plus costs slightly less. Plus a king-size bed.

For me, it's an easy decision.
