I was wondering if anyone can give me some info for our stay in May at BWV.
We are staying in a 2Bdrm villa and have requested a pool view. Is there any particular room I should request? As well this is our 5th time staying on site but our 1st at BWV and i was wondering if anyone has any advice for us to make our trip more hassle free. Is there somewhere to have a sit down breakfast at BWV as well as i guess the bakery would be good for a quick breakfast. How is the pizza at Spoodles?? Any info would be greatly appreciated.OH i almost forgot we want to do the Epcot Fireworks cruise. Any info on that??? Thanks so much. :flower1: :jumping4: :earseek: :cool1: :flower: pirate:

If you request a specific room number, you probably won't get it. If you request a pool view, you'll probably get a pool view. I've had one pool view on the 2nd floor overlooking the big pool. I preferr the Boardwalk view (which is tough to get if you don't request it as far out in advance as possible). Any room at the BWV is a good room :)

Pizza in WDW stinks in my view. So I can't give any advice about Spoodles, I don't like the Disney pizza. The Boardwalk Bakery is the best! The Sweets place is the BEST! If you a big coffee drinker or coke drinker, make sure you get the refillable mug. It pays for itself with 6 cups of coffee and can be used at the pool, the bakery or the sweets place. There is also muffins and stuff from the bakery in the Inn part of the BWI over in the bar.

I love the BW. You'll love it too.

Can't tell you about BWV 'cause May will be our first time staying there also.

We don't spend a lot of time in the room so I just request a non-smoking!

As far as the Pizza is concerned ~ Cardboard! You would think that they would know how to make a good pie!

There is the Cape May over at the BCV but that is a character breakfast and we like CP better.

If you go grocery shopping you will be amazed at what Microwavable Breakfast are available. That will definately save you quite a bit of money!

For the cruise you can go to Deb's site wwww.allearsnet.com The information should be there.

Have Fun! Might see you there!

It's best not to request a particular room - that's almost a guarantee of disappointment. Make your request(s) as general as you can and list them in the order of priority. Do you want a view of the main pool (Luna Park) or the quiet pool/ Community Hall area? Do you want to be close (or not) to th elevators? (Close is good if you are traveling with strollers, wheelchairs or ECVs. Not close is good if you like peace and quiet - hallway traffic can create lots of noise). Do you want an upper foor or a lower floor? Most people list their smioking/non-smoking preference first.

There are lots of good restaurants in the area that serve a sit down breakfast. Spoodles, Cape May, & Fresh to name just a few. Go to www.allearsnet.com andlook at the menus for the restaurants in the EPCOT resort Hotels - BWI/BWV, BC/YC/BCV, Swan & Dolphin.

If you want something quick and a little more varied than thre BW Bakery, try Tubbi's Buffeteria (in the Dolphin). It's a cross b etween a food court and a cafeteria. It has Starbucks coffee and Krispy Kreme donuts if those appeal.

The Dolphin also has a small restaurant similar to Beaches 'n Cream - IIRC, it's called the Dolphin Fountain. Good ice cream, burgers and sandwiches and it's never crowded. We find it a good alternative to the ESPN as well as B 'n C, which are often very crowded.

You'll find lots of info on the fireworks cruises on the Theme Parks Board. Start with the 'Sticky" or "Important" thread at the top of that forum. Then try a search.

I think you will really like the BWV - it's our home resort and so far, I just haven't been able to stay anywhere else on our WDW visits.

Best wishes -

My suggestion ... Call MS and add UPPER FLOOR and NEAR ELEVATOR to your POOL VIEW room request. Last year, we had a 5th floor 2 bedroom unit that looked right out at the Luna Park pool and it was a very nice view. The added benefit was the close proximity to the resort's only elevator. You won't realize how nice that is until you experience a room that is situated near the end of one of the wings. (We're talking a 3-5 minute walk to the elevator -- no joke.)

Spoodles pizza was very substandard. We much prefer sending somebody out to Pizzaria Uno for take out. It's located about 5 minutes from the Boardwalk, on the road that goes by the Downtown Disney hotels (in Crossroads Plaza).

The Dolphin also has a breakfast buffet at their restaurant Fresh. We haven't been yet, but it got very good reviews on the restaurant board when I asked for opinions. DVC members get 20% off at several restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin. Menus are at www.allearsnet.com

We usually just request nonsmoking and upper floor, but we usually have a standard view. Hope you have a great trip

I guess I am the only one with an alternate opinion so far, but we really like Spoodles tomatoe and basil pizza. However, they are quite small and may not feed an entire family. For great pizza I would suggest Giordano's! Here are a few suggestions.

Watch the fireworks from the benches near Atlantic Dance

Pick up wings and nachos from the ESPN club or have someone walk over to Epcot to get fish and chips when we want to eat in

Take a stroll around the boardwalk (look out for the bikes!)

Visit Beaches and Cream at the BC.

Make sure that you request what is most important to you first (smoking, 2nd floor, etc).
