I'm currently planning 2 trips to WDW in 2007. I have a one bedroom standard view for 6 nights in May, and I was planning on doing 6 nights in a BW view studio in early December (need to start my day-by-day ressie tomorrow).

But it just occured to me that I can get 6 nights in a BW view one bedroom in December for the same # of points (155) as my one bedroom standard view in May. No brainer, huh?

Well, May is our first trip "home," and my DH's first DVC stay. I stayed in a BCV studio for one night and a BCV one bedroom for five nights. WOW! The studios just don't compare. I'd like DH to see what we bought into.

So, I'm thinking my options are to stay in a BWV studio in May (standard view if I can get it) or try another DVC resort (leaning towards WLV, but -- pardon me for saying this! -- the studios look a bit ugly to me).

I guess what I'm getting at is, is a BW view 1 bedroom at Christmas time too cool to pass up? And where should I spend the 6 nights in May (keeping in mind we only have enough points for a studio stay)?

I value the opinions of my fellow DIS'ers, so thank you very much for reading so far.

One more thing: family will consist of me, DH, and our then 4 yo DD.

No-brainer for me (check my signature). Word of advice: call day by day for a BWV 1 bedroom if you are going the first week in Dec. I waited until I could book the full week and my waitlist never did come through for a couple of the days in one of our 1 bedrooms this year. If I could only go once a year to WDW, I would choose early Dec. in a BWV 1, 2 or 3 bedroom unit. Enjoy!
