BWV January availability

We are trying to do some future planning for our next big family DVC trip. I would like to reserve 2 standard view studios at Boardwalk for 10 days. I need to do it at the 7 month window because I own at BLT.

So basically what are the chances of getting 2 standard BWV studios in January at the 7 month window?

It's hard to get a standard room at 7 months anytime of the year. The odds of getting 2 for 10 nights is slim. You could try waitlist.

I did a quick check and many nights in January are already sold out for standard view studios, especially in the first half of the month.

You'd be better off trying for two studios at OKW or SSR. Depending on when in January you are going.

It's especially hard to book BWV during the marathon also.

I waitlisted for a standard studio (only 1) for 5 nights this past January (the week starting Wednesday AFTER MLK weekend - Jan. 18-23). I got on the waitlist at exactly 7 months and really thought I had a chance, but nope, it never came through. I even waitlisted up to 7 days prior and called several times within my 7 days of arriving, so ended up doing a split stay with 5 nights at OKW (my back up ressie) and 5 nights at BWV. I was really hoping to do the whole reservation there, and was a little shocked that I didn't get it. So lesson learned on my part. I booked my January 2013 10 nights at the 11 month window and used my BWV points. OP, you may get lucky, but that is if you stay away from marathon weekend and MLK weekend. However, I was nowhere near either of those and it still didn't work for me.

This January we went for 5 nights and had to do Preferred view...no standard rooms available. It was so worth it though!

Keep in mind there is a marathon and the 2nd SS Members cruise both occuring at the same time in Jan. 2013.

We waitlisted last January (non-marathon and non-MLK weekend) for a standard view studio and it never came through. We called during the seven day window and ended up with a BW view one bedroom. I learned my lesson.

This year we sat down and did some advanced planning and booked at the 11 month mark for January 2013. We will be trying to trade to a VWL studio at the 7 month mark so one standard view studio may be opening up for a few days at the end of January. Good luck!!
