BWV -- how are the buses?

Wow...such mixed responses...don't know what I will do yet.
Just want to understand something. BWV is the last pick-up
it sounds like (on the way to MK) so that is good. On the way
back from MK, where is the first stop. If the first stop is Swan/
Dolphin, that would be o.k. because we would just get off and
walk from there. We walk from the boat back from their sometimes which we don't mind. Thanks for all the great responses!

Yes, the first stop is either the Swan or Dolphin...can't remember, but we got off the first stop and walked over to the Boardwalk.

For us, we decided to use cabs due to the lack of seats. The buses we waited for were prompt, just crowded beyond what we were willing to tolerate on this trip. We didn't find this "unacceptable," we were just willing to pay something to be able to travel more comfortably. Had it just been my husband and I (or even us and the kids), we may have stood.

(There was another factor that had nothing to do with Disney buses - my MIL runs a little slow. Cabbing it allowed us to arrive at the park on something approximating my schedule - since I normally factor in the wait. So she was "late" but we passed over the wait at the bus stop and arrived "on time.")

The new buses have a lot fewer seats on them.

I used the BWV buses over Thanksgiving. The wait was usually 5-10 minutes. To maximize your chance of getting a seat and stroller storage at busy times, you can walk over to the Swan and get on there. I had read that tip here, and it worked very well for early opening. It's a little longer walk, and I know you have little people, but it was well worth it to me.

I just got back from the Boardwalk on Sunday. We found the bus service to be excellent. We never ever waited more than 3-5 minutes for a bus. Once a MK bus was about to pull away and saw us and another group coming, and he stopped and waited. A couple of other times a bus to the MK just left, and within minutes another arrived. We never had to stand on the way to the parks, and only once on the return trip and that was from the MK on a Saturday night at closing, so it was to be expected. The Swan is the first stop on the return trip, and we always get off there and walk back. I like being the last stop on the way to the parks, because you only have to ride for a few minutes that way.
