BWV Grand villa available for cash but not points?

I just made a change to my upcoming march trip. We originall had two nights at OKW and 2 nights at BWV in a grand villa. I was able to secure a point transfer to cover the extra points so we could be in BWV for our 4 nights in Orlando... When I made teh call yesterday, one night was available on points, but the other night was not. As a long shot I asked if it was available for cash and it was. Does anyone find this strange? Why would a grand villa be avaialble for cash but not points? There are so few at BWV. Did it have to do with an exchange? When you trade your points for something besides DVC resort do they actually transfer a room type to the cash side? Anyway I decided to take the jump and pay cash for the one night, still hoping the wait list comes through. I guess I'll try to rent the 2 nights at OKW in a GV to cover the cash cost.. Still would like to know how a GV can be available for cash but not for points.

Not at all strange. If someone exchanged points for a Disney collection location. BUT, the fact that just that one day is available is a bit strange.
