This is what we have reserved. What should I expect? I know a lot of people prefer the BW view, but I was just so excited that our waitlist came through I didn't care. Are these specifically at one end of the resort or the other?

TIA!

Jennifer

Luna Park pool, quiet pool, canal view with Swan/Dolphin in distance, and the green adjacent to the BW (the rooms over the art gallery) are all possibilities.

Thanks! Views aren't as important to us(not in the room enough). Now I wouldn't mind a shorter walk to the elevator, but am definitely not expecting anything!

THE BEST perferred view villas that are NOT technically classified as boardwalk view villas are without a doubt the Village Green villas. However there are not a lot of these. Our next favorite preferred/non boardwalk view villas are the quiet pool view villas. Very, very nice views, easy access to the CH, a very nice, uncrowded pool and one of the quietest, most serene hot tubs on WDW property. These villas are not located right next to the elevators but are located no farther away then many, many other deluxe accommondations in large resorts are from the elevators, both at other WDW resorts and also non WDW resorts. The distance and length of the hallways at BWV are grossly exaggerated by some on this boards. Just as many other "supposedly negative" things relating to BWV and the other "non OKW DVC resorts", are continuously grossly exaggerated, by some on this board.

Had a great preferred view - room #5095 - 1BR with double balcony - overlooked quiet pool. community hall, canal and TOT was in the distance

thanks

Has anyone else every enjoyed hiking at MGM Grand's Emerald Tower in Las Vegas.

I swear the hallway is over 1000 feet long.
We had the third to the last room.
Took 15 minutes to walk from our room down that hall and then thru the 100,000sqft+ casino:earseek:

So quit belly achin about the short corridors at DVC resorts :wave2:

ITA!!!!! Sometimes I read some of the comments on this board and think: "Do these people ever stay at resorts outside of WDW? Or have they ever even stayed at any of the WDW deluxe resorts with equal distances from elevator to room??????". Hello, the distances from elevators to WDW deluxe rooms including BWV, etc is no farther and many times less of a distance than many other rooms in many other top of the line resorts elsewhere. I always think: "Where do some of these people vacation?????" Certainly not in many of the top WDW deluxe resorts or the top of the line resorts in many top vacation destinations!!
Bottom line, the closer you are to the attractions, dining establishments, etc., the greater chance that all rooms within the resort will be located in one building. With a large resort, fitting all the rooms in one building requires a large building, which consequently requires long hallways. Duh!

If that's what is most important to you, then that is what you should request. Call MS and ask to add a request for close to the elevators. If that is all you request and assuming you prefer a non-smoking room, I think you have a good chance of getting it.

Best wishes -

P.S. According to other posts, the smoking rooms at BWV are now all at the ends of the hallway .

LOL! Maybe they are trying to make those smokers healthier by giving them more excersise!:jester: ;) Don't flame me ,Dee! I'm just joking around!:jester:

I had a PV room on the 4th floor last summer. It was room 4131 and it was like 3rd from the end of the hallway. The view (primarily) was of the valet parking lot, though the canal was also below us and to the right. We could see the TOT when standing on the balcony only and turning 90 degrees to the right. It was a cool sight at night from the balcony. But overall, we were a little disappointed that this was a PV room because of the main view in sight was the parking lot and service area driveway, with service trucks going to and fro---seemed like it should have almost been SV points. In our walks through the hallways, we could see what the pool views were like and thought they were super. If I were you, I'd request any pool view if possible. Glad your waitlist came through :thewave: Have a great time !

I have no reason to flame you, this time. It makes me laugh though because I have never once stated that I was a smoker in any of my posts--- people just jump to conclusions. I am just a person that feels everyone has rights and feel that everyone's rights need to be respected, including smokers. So I many times will jump up in defense of smokers when things get really out there with some of the totally ridiculous statements made by some regarding smoking at WDW resorts. The smoking on the balcony debate, is definitely one of my favorites for reading some really unbelievably, over the top, comments.
