Who is ready for another game of "what are the odds"!?

Am I dreaming trying to stay at an EPCOT DVC during F&W next year? My home resort is SSR so I'd be looking to book at the 7 month window. I don't even need to spend my whole week there and would be ok with a split stay. Any thoughts/advice/experience?

If you are online right away at 7 months you should be able to book something, especially if you are okay with pool/garden view. If you want standard or BW view you might not get all of your days at once so you would need to work the waitlist, but if you only need a couple of days the waitlist might be just fine. One bedrooms seem to be the easiest to book. Good luck! I really think you will be wining and dining from a BW room in 2014!

I always stay at BWV and I don't own there. I got into BCV a couple years ago but wasn't a fan so I haven't tried again.

I book a 1 bedroom though, and I don't care which view.

If you aren't too picky you'll get something.

If you have to WL, I've noticed a lot of people are having their wait lists come through within a week when wait listing shortly after the 7 month mark.

But do make the reservation at the 7 month mark to be safe. Good Luck.

Just realized I failed to mention we also travel during Jersey Week. Hopefully that doesn't change things too much and I will just have to be ready to book at 7 months!

Not sure about Jersey week but I got a 1br standard for Sept 26 -October 2 , right at 7 months for a friend of mine with my ssr points. I was a bit surprised. I bought 75 boardwalk points specifically for food and wine and booked my trip at 11 months thinking that there was no way we could get another one at 7 months. I did though I would plan on booking when it opens at 7 months and you should find something. Good luck!

Jersey week will probably make availability more limited but if you are flexible on room category I think you will eventually get your 7 days.

I doubt that you'll get Boardwalk outright. Book whatever you can get for your week, and then waitlist the Boardwalk. If you don't expect it to actually come through...you may get a very pleasant surprise.

We're going Columbus Day weekend this year...ended up booking OKW studio on 3/11 and waitlisted a BWV studio. It came through on 7/3! This will be our first time staying at BWV during Food and Wine. We're celebrating our 20th anniversary, so very excited to get this waitlist!

I snagged a 1BR standard for three nights in October (2011) at the 7-month mark. I intended on a split stay so we started our trip in a lake view studio at BLT for two nights before moving to the BWV. I had to WL the BLT nights but they came through fairly quick.

We are going Nov 1st- 11th of this yr. pool/garden view. I don't own there. So at 7 months I was on the pc at 8am, then on the phone at 9 am. I was able to book the 1st through the 4th. Wow I got the weekend, I thought, but the 4th was taking forever to show up. I had to wait until the 7 month window for Nov 5th so I can wait list the 4th. So on that day I on pc at 8am and was able to get 5th-9th. WooHoo. I call MS at 9 and wait list the 4th and 10th. The 4th comes through within a week. The 10th took a lot longer. i was getting nervous so I book BLT for the one night just to have a room. The 10th finally came through about 3 weeks after I started booking. In June we decide flights are too much to fly on a Sunday so I wait list the 10th, it came through within 2 weeks...So yes it is possible to get BWV during jersey week and F&W at the 7 month window and not own at BWV.

Good Luck, it takes work but it can happen.

If you are hitting the end of F&W, it could be difficult especially if they do the Wine & Dine Half Marathon at that time.
