BWV dues over charge?

I was wondering if anyone could link me to the posts a year or so ago by the person who discovered that BWV were being overcharged. I cannot find them, and dh is asking me about what it was.

Sorry, I haven't got the link but I'm sure someone will provide it soon. The root problem was how they were splitting the cost of transportation for the different resorts.

It was for transportation compared to BCV. I don't think BCV was being charged for the boats, something like that.

Also another item that I discovered last year that raises the dues and is not fair but was written into the contact with DVC and Disney when the Boardwalk was build(two seperate companys)All the live entertainment we see on the Boardwalk at night( singers,dancers,jugglers,card trick hacks,piano man) and so on are paid for out of the BWV DVC menbers dues. It was brought up last year at a meeting and I intend to bring it up again this year to see if there is anything we can do about it.Also the cleaning crews who clean up the area to this sided of both bridges on the boardwalk are paid for out of BWV dues. On the other side of the bridge it's not. It comes out of the Beach and Yacht Clubs budgets.

All those extras you talk about are what drew me to BWV.
If it costs a little more to stay there, I don't mind paying it.

DMDSTPRGIL - That is very interesting!! How did you find that out? I wonder how WDW could possibly decide that BWV should pay for all of that, instead dividing it with BWI.

I don't think the poster above meant that BWV pays all the costs of the outdoor entertainers. It would be a common cost of BWI/BWV and all such costs are shared between them. The point I think was that BW pays it to the exclusion of eveyone else like Disney in general but everyone gets its use. That is probably one where you just need to accept that what is provided at BoardWalk for no charge to guests is payable by BoardWalk and not other resorts.
