BWV December availability if booking in April

I just agreed to terms on a contract for BWV yesterday. I assume that it will close and I will be able to book some time in mid April.

I would like to schedule a trip for Dec 15-23 (1st choice) or (Nov 30-Dec8 (2nd choice)

What is the chance that I will be able to find something at BWV (studio preferred or 1 BR) for one of these weeks if I book mid April (7.5 to 8 months).

If that doesn't work, is it safe to assume I will be able to get something elsewhere at 7 months?

Otherwise I would have to look at January trip

At a minimum, you should be able to snag a Pool / Garden View 1B for the mid-December dates as long as you book before 7 months. That's probably the easiest room to obtain out of the options you laid-out. Other options may be available, too. But booking before 7 mos is critical.

Nov 30 to Dec 8 will be significantly more difficult to get than Dec 15 to 23. That first week of Dec is DVC's highest demand week of the year.You may be able to get pool garden view at eight months but that is not certain even for a 1BR, which are usually the last to fill. At 7 months you will likely be limited to OKW or SSR with a possible chance at AKV savanna or standard but even AKV could have nights gone for that week at 7 months out.

For Dec 15 to 23, your questionable night is going to be the last one, Dec 22. You should easily be able to get BWV pool garden view for the other nights and if 1BR you probably have a good chance at the last night whether you do 8 months out or even 7. At 7 for others, it will also likely be a last night risk for BLT lake view, VWL or possibly BCV. You should definitely be able to get AKV standard or savanna view, OKW, or SSR.

Based on the first couple responses, lets say that I plan to try for BWV studio, garden view for Dec 15-20, and then AKV 1BR, savannah view for Dec 20-23. Does this plan have a high probability of success?

Assumes BWV part booked at 8 months and AKV part booked on the morning that 7 month window opens.

Note, I assume that BWV standard and boardwalk studios will be booked so I didn't even ask about those.

You might be able to get pool/garden view. Standard or Boardwalk view, unlikely. You have a better chance for Dec 15-23. A 1 bedroom is easier to get than a studio.

That has high probability. You could have easily gotten both of those at 7 months out for 2012.
