BWV Confirmation

I'm not sure where to post this so guess I'll try here :confused3

I rented points from a great couple for my trip next month at BWV and I had a question regarding the confirmation. My DVC owner said to call the number on my confirmation but they won't talk to me. I then get transferred to Guest Services and when I give the reservation number, they can't find me in the system. I thought the reservation was under my name. Any suggestions?
 
Disney Vacation Club will not speak with renters or give them any information. They won't take a room request from you and they won't confirm you have a reservation. Only DVC owners can speak with DVC about reservations.

 
A few days prior to your arrival the reservation will be transferred into the Resort's computer. At that time you shold be able to call the resort's front counter where you will be staying. Otherwise DVC Mike is right, member services will not take calls from non-members only the renter can do that. This is the trust part everyone speaks of............hope all goes well.

What kind of question did you have? Is it something that someone here might help you with?

If you want to confirm the reservation, you should have gotten a reservation sheet from the member. Sounds like you did. Otherwise, you'll just need to wait until a few days before like browniemtb says.
 
Thank you everyone - I am a little concerned about the reservation since I haven't had responses to couple emails after making payment (which was in the early part of November). I mostly wanted to confirm there is a reservation before making airline reservations and also then want to sign up for the Magical Express & Dining Plan. Another concern is they are going on a cruise the middle of January and need to get all this finalized before they leave. Well....hopefully it will all work out!

As DVCMike said, we are prohibited from speaking to anyone other than the member. Members, especially members who rent out their points, know that you can't speak with us. I tell every single one who makes a reservation in someone elses name.

Your member needs to call us to make your DME arrangements and to add the DDP as well. We can't even confirm you hae a reservation in your name as we are a service that is exclusive to members only.

Do you have a phone number for them? I'd give them a call if they haven't responded to your email. Hopefully, you have additional contact information other than their email address. You'll need to get ahold of them fairly quickly if you vacation in February and they will be gone for much of January in order to get the DDP and ME arrangements made.
 
I went to Whitepages.com and found a phone number so will try it tonight. I had talked to them on my old cell but didn't transfer the phone number to my new one :confused3 . I'm sure it will all work out - my emails have come back undeliverable the last few days so hopefully a phone call will work. I found an excellent airline rate and want to book it tonight & then can arrange for transportation with them. Thanks again, everyone!
