Hi newbie here to dvc rentals. I haven't seen many posts for BWV for early November, but a deep dive around here says that it is prime time for booking because of food and wine. Are there any tips and tricks on what to look for now that I have a date and resort in mind?

If you’re looking for a studio, it’s probably already too late. You need to contact an owner who has posted on the rental board with BWV points and ask them to check for you.

Outside of a Garden View there isn't going to be really any availability for you at this point. If you go for 1BR you likely will have more options.

You will need to find someone to rent through. There is the rental boards here, a rental company, or another forum that are all good options when trying to rent. (I can't post the other forum here as its blocked)

I personally have always rented on DIS and had good luck.

And if you are contacted by someone directly, report it to th mods. There have been scams recently.

You ain't getting Standard . November has been booking for more than a month.

The down side of being new :/ we only decided a few days ago that we wanted to go back. Hopefully we will luck out with something good!

Be aware that if you are including Nov 5-8, 2020 in your "early November" period, you need to act now to get a reservation. That is the Wine & Dine race weekend, the highest DVC demand weekend of the year at WDW, and typically for that time of year by 9 months out, DVC studios at WDW will have already had at least some of the days booked full for that period other than possibly SSR, OKW and AKV Kidani savanna view and even those are not likely to last long.

We're looking to go after the 9th, not interested in the rush from Jersey week and the race. Looks like we'll be waiting for a last minute opening at BWV if we don't book direct through Disney.

The problem with that is that once booked, the only way to get a last minute one is to have an owner set up a waitlist or stalk the website in hopes to snag one, Most owners renting won’t do that.

As mentioned, decide soon and you could get still have a shot at BWV pool/garden. But, things change so much that something could be here right now and be gone in a minute and vice versa.
