BWV boardwalk view question

Your reservation should specifically say BW view on it. If it says Garden/pool view, you won't get the BW view.

But that's all I know about the BW view at BWV.

I always like to get a 2nd or third floor room. I like to hear the buzz on the Boardwalk at night.

Higher up and farther down have the best view of fireworks, but are the least convienent.

Closer to the lobby and lower down have the advantage of convienence, and the view is still pretty darn good.

I always request top floor but most of the time get 3 or 4 (for a 1 bedroom). Got 2nd once, above Big River, in June and it was noisy late at night. Didn't notice the noise on other trips when on 3 or above.

We stayed on the 2nd floor above Big River too, and I didn't find the restaurant noise too bad, but what I *didn't* like was the boardwalk games (basketball/ring toss) noises so far into the night. I was surprised they were operating so late, particularly since we were there in January. The bells and buzzers got a bit irritating towards the end of the stay. But, then again, it wasn't like it was a surprise, so I'm not complaining.

The walk to the room was relatively short, and we found a "secret" exit :rolleyes1 that cut down on some time on our way to breakfast at the bakery.

I always request an open balcony. I received a closed balcony once and we couldn't see the boardwalk without standing up.

Oh man...been there, done that. The second floor was the worst for the basketball dinging!!! But I did find that it didn't bother me too much at night...they shut down by the time I got back and got ready for bed.
Even on the fifth floor, the dinging was noticible. But, it was better than the one bedroom we had way down by Jellyrolls. Man, that was a huge walk if going to the pool or the bus/lobby.

I guess it's personal preference but we always request a high floor for our BWV studio ressies (we don't specify a certain one). You get a great view, can see some of Illuminations if you are down toward Jellyrolls, can see Wishes over top of the Yacht Club. As some posters have mentioned the "bells and whistles" from the games can get monotonous but they are not too loud with the door closed.

We were in room 2001 twice!!! Last room but closest to Jelly Rolls! Long walk but didn't hear the carney stuff...love the carney stuff though.
