Next it was off to see the bats but not too many of them were out and this was the best picture I took there.

OMG - I've never seen a bat that looks like that!

You took some truly great pics! I would have been disappointed in my room at BWV too and a little nervous that someone could come back in the room! What a great view of MK you had tho!

Luna will reopen in early February. I'm not sure what that means since it's already February 12th.

We just got back. Left BWV on Feb. 16th and the pool was open! I think it opened on the 14th... just too cold for us to swim!

Thanks #1 Disney Fan! I used a Sony Alpha DSLR for the pictures. Mine is the A850. I had brought a Canon P&S to use on the water rides but forgot the battery in the charger at home! Oh well, the best laid plans and all that. It was too cold to be out in the rain or do any water rides anyway.

Were you using a fisheye lens for the last couple in your last update? I've *always* wanted to try a fisheye out, but have been scared about the learning curve. Was the lens pretty easy to use? It sure added a fun perspective to your pictures.

Yes, all the Everest AK shots were taken with a fisheye. It has a little bit of a learning curve but not too bad. Keeping the horizon level is one of the key points and something I still need to improve on. I seem to naturally tilt! On the ride I just snapped away and then chose those that worked the best. I used it quite a bit this trip and loved being able to get the different perspectives. It's a specialty lens but I haven't regretted getting it b/c I do like the look it gives.
