For those who are staying at the BWV, beware of the middle elevator near the gift shop. We heard some weird noises coming out of it, but ignored it. Then, one time, it made a horrible sound and then reopened.

A bellhop told my wife that it once opened mid-floor on him and that he avoids that elevator at all costs. Another employee said that it is known that there is something wrong with it, and there has been something wrong with it for years.

Oh my! Glad to know this because we'll be there next week. But it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't fix the problem. Elevators get inspected constantly so I'm not understanding why the problem wouldn't be addressed.

anyone know?

Shudder. I hate elevators anyway.
The first floor at BWV is looking better and better!

The guy said it is fixed all the time, but the fix never sticks.

Now that you mention it, we have had that elevator open it's doors after they have closed with no one pushing it's buttons and we have seen the repairman working on it a couple of times. Maybe it's haunted?

:earsboy: Bill

I think it was last summer when we were there on the 3rd floor and the middle elevator had yellow tape across it and a big construction type cone in front of it because the doors were open but there was no elevator, we checked out the 2nd floor and it was the same way. This is why I like the 1st floor lol!!!

Yup, when you are there, watch the people who work there --- they won't take the middle elevator unless they are new and no one spoke to them about it yet.

just home from BWV and now that you say this i cant recall the middle elevator ever opening up for us! we always seemed to take the side ones. we'll steer clear on purpose next time!

Are you saying they had an OPEN ELEVATOR SHAFT with nothing blocking it but some yellow tape????? :scared1:

Thanks! We check in there on Wednesday so will avoid it!!

Well...I guess my powers of observation are not very good! We've been at BWV a gazillion times and I had no idea about the middle elevator!!!! I'll watch for it.

I am trying to recall, and I do not believe we ever use the middle elevators either, always the 2 side ones.

When we were there in May never had a problem with any of them. But they are a bit beaten up, the inside of the doors look like folks have rammed their strollers into them once too often.

I'll be there next week too. I leave this Sunday. I'll be the one pushing my son in a wheelchair.... and avoiding the middle elevator at all costs!

they had the tape and a big construction like cone that you see during road construction blocking it, there's no way anyone would have missed it. it gon gone by the time we came back at night...the elevators doors were closed but i don't know if it was working.

We will be there in September. Tower of Terror is the only elevator thrills we will be seeking on our trip, so we will steer clear of the middle elevator:rotfl2:
