Can someone please give me some insight into what these places actually are? I have heard DTD Pleasure Island has closed to dancing and such- Are these two places that we may be able to turn for nightlife entertainment?
Thx for any info!

Jellyrolls is a 'dueling piano' bar. There is a cover charge to get in. We have been once and really enjoyed it. I think we would have had even more fun with a larger group of people. There are quite a few DIS'rs that are big fans of JR.

Atlantic Dance Hall is also a nice venue. Much nicer inside than it looks from the outside. However, I hear that it is usually quite empty. We only ventured in once and that was last fall on the night of the US election. They were playing music but had the election results playing on the big screen. As we are Canadian this was interesting but not 'entertaining. We chatted with the DJ for a while and then left. The place looks like it could have much potential. Again, going with a large group of friends you could probably have a good night. Doesn't compare with Pleasure Island clubs though.

Thx so much! Since PI closing and we have never been able to enjoy- (our first trip ever coming up soon) > I am sorely disappointed we missed PI- So, we have been checking things out that may be available as "nightlife" around Disney Property! I soooo wouldlove to go dancing, listen to some live music, something a bit more "adult" while we are there- Anyone have any other places to tell me about?
I will search "Rix"?? & see what that is about-
I will absolutely love Disney but would also love to put all my kids to bed and head out for a couple hours of fun w/ DH at my "happy place"- LOL (no worries BTW- we have a 17 and 16 yr old w/ the younger ones)
Disney has been a life long dream for me and we are finally doing it! & will many times over since becoming DVCers!
Appreciate any info that anyone has!

Jellyrolls is ALOT of fun and "a must" for me every trip!! Doors open at 7pm and the entertainment starts at 8pm and runs til 2am (last call is 1:30am). Two sets of 2 piano players play hourly and it's an all-request show. The cover charge is $10.

A great site to check out, including the piano players schedule, is:
www.jellyrolls.us

Enjoy!!

You can find us at jellyrolls every trip almost every night. Tried Atlantic Dance twice and always left within 30 minutes. Jellyrolls will have quit a task ahead of them replacing Jason, Pete and Christian................ Susan

Thx! This is great! I do think Jellyrolls will be more our scene by what is described- Atlantic Dance could be fun depending upon what they play... We can and will dance to Top 40- However, As "with it" as we feel we are, our kids tease us when we start doing the worm, cabbage patch, smurf, etc- LOL I can even butterfly & tootsie roll- & very well- but they just laugh! I figure if we can get a little 2 step in somewhere, shag even, or just dance to some old Motown and jazz we will have had the time of our lives! Thx again for all the tips!

Jellyrolls is great, especially with a lively crowd. Used to be Thursday night was Cast Member night and seemed to have a fun crowd. Not sure if that is still the case. We have never been to Atlantic Dance.

I believe Tuesday nights are still considered CM night...

We really enjoy Jellyrolls during each of our visits and I would recommend at least one visit. Just don't ask them to play any song that might be considered not 'family friendly'.
