BWV April 2022 - Comparing DVC rental vs WDW cash rate

Hi all,

We have friends who are planning a WDW trip April 2022 with their kids/grandkids. They are looking to rent a 2BR villa at BWV. I don’t have enough points to offer them for rent so am trying to point them in the right direction. They were curious as to the cost difference going DVC rental vs Disney direct. I obviously have the DVC rental costs but can’t seem to find a 2 BR reservation option on the Disney website, nor do I see a 2 BR cash price on the Mousesavers rack rate chart for 2021. And on the WDW website it’s also not showing any availability for Studios or 1 BR’s for the week they are targeting (April 17-24). I’m a bit stumped & have a few questions if anyone has info to share:

- Does Disney rent out 2 BR villas at the Boardwalk direct for cash?
- Is there any way to find out what the rate would be for April 2022?
- Given lack of availability in the other room categories is it possible ALL cash rooms at Boardwalk Villas are already fully booked for that week? I realize the first day is Easter but usually the week following Easter is not quite as busy as the week before.

I did check DVC availability and 2 BR’s at BWV show as available for Garden/Pool view for that entire week.

Appreciate any thoughts!

Excellent thanks for the link re: rack rate. Probably should have posted this on the DVC resort forum! I did figure I could add the studio and 1BR together for an indication, though I’m still curious to know if all of the other BW Villas (direct cash) are already fully booked for April 2002. Seems unlikely to me but can’t seem to find availability.

There probably aren't too many BWV 2BRs available for cash bookings. IF any BWV rooms are made available to book for cash, they are sold as studios (very rare) or 1BR villas. Those are made available for cash bookings when DVC members don't want those rooms, such as when a member trades out their points for a cruise or if no one books those rooms by 60 days out. So, it's very unlikely that Disney has many BWV rooms to sell for cash in April and even more unlikely that they would have a 2BR.
