BWV and path to Disney-MGM Studios

I know where the pathway from the Boardwalk to Disney-MGM Studios is located, since I've taken it when staying at the Beach Club. What I want to know, however, is how many places can you get ON the path?

For example, if I have a room down at the end of the resort, back by the Villas quiet pool and Community Hall, do I have to walk all the back to the lobby, out the front of the Boardwalk, past all the shops and restaurants, go 'round Jellyrolls, and then (50 minutes later) end up walking past my room as I follow the path?
OR... is there a way onto the path from elsewhere in the resort (by the quiet pool, for example)?

The path goes right by community hall, I think you have to walk down the grass to get to it though..not a problem.

It runs right by the quiet pool.

All of the end of Hallway stairwells dump out to that side of the building..some are directly on the path some are back by the quiet pool. That is way that area of the hotel is our favorite...just a few steps to the path to MGM...

When we were at BWV in January, the stairwell came out in the middle of a bunch of construction. What we did is take the elevator to the first floor, get off and take a left by the clown pool. Then we went to the left and out onto the path. Don't know if that was the shortest way by any means, but it beat going through the construction.
