BWV and BCV: Compare and contrast for Home Resort

We've stayed a BWVs twice since we bought BCVs (both times because there was no availability at our HR). We made the reservations at less than 7 months out each time, and we were offered Standard View Rooms each time. Once was in January, and the other time was in October, for the first weekend of the F&W Festival. I know a lot of people say that it's hard to get a standard room, so maybe we were just the lucky recipients of two flukes... YMMV.
