Has anyone ever stayed in a 2 bedroom villa at the Boardwalk Villas? Do these all face the water, parking lot, swimming pool??? Or is it all of the above?

All of the above! "Standard" view faces the parking lot, "preferred" view can face pool, MGM, BoardWalk...at least for DVC. If you're paying cash, then I don't know.

Depends on the view you are paying for. Standard faces the parking area. Preferred is basically water of some kind and Boardwalk view is, naturally, of the Boardwalk itself. So, you can get a view facing the canal to MGM, facing the parking lot/entrance to BW, of the Luna Park pool, of the quiet pool, the Village Green, or toward BC/YC that would be a Boardwalk view.
There are very few bad views at BW.

Yep, all of the above. :) As Disney Vacation Club members, we've become quite fond of the villas that face the boardwalk. We've had them twice, and we really love them. They are difficult to get, and can only be reserved by members. But, I will tell you, there isn't anything like seeing Epcot and the lake through the balcony door first thing in the morning! ;)

We booked a standard 2 bdrm and got a room right behind Leapin Libations. We just had to step out our sliding door and into the pool! It was very nice. The only thing I didnt care for was that it was HC and with a toddler that put everything within his reach.

If you pay cash through CRO, there are not different view categories, it's basically wherever they have room to put you. However, boardwalk views are reserved for points reservations only. Most of the ones along the front driveway that are considered standard view for members have an Illuminations view.

We stayed in a two bedroom at BWV's last spring. It overlooked sort of a grassy courtyard area with a few trees. Nothing really to look at but at least it wasn't a loading dock! ;)

We stayed in a 2 bdrm villa last year (on DVC pts.) with a standard view, but asked for a pool view. We ended up with a 1st floor room right at the carousel bar at the pool. We could walk out our patio door and get drinks and swim. I don't know if that was an upgrade, but I liked the convienence (sp?) I do know that the boardwalk views are limited and are boked way in advance.
