BWV 2 BR Question

I have stayed at BWV before, but only in 1 BR pref view (which faced the pool). Does anyone know where the 2 BR rooms are located? We need a 2 BR for this summer and we really want to be close to the pool and the boardwalk. We don't care what the view is, but we care about the location. I know which side the villas are on, but is there a map that shows where all the 2 BR rooms are? Are they all spread out? Just trying to see if we need to request pref view or if we can go standard view. Trying to save a little money if possible. Thanks!

The 2 bedrooms are scattered throughout the resort and can be found in all booking categories.

As far as I know, there is no BWV map with specific room numbers. 2 bedrooms are scattered throughout. See the map on this thread, it shows the 3 views. Your best bet would be pool/garden view (the red lines) with a request to be near the main pool.

Thank you, this map is helpful. It looks like we will have to go with pref view. The only standard view we would like is whatever is closest to the main lobby since that is closest to the main pool. And there probably aren't many 2 brs there.

Yes, you are correct. We will probably have to go with pref. view anyway based on what we would like to be near. But thank you for your help.

There are no dedicated 2 bedroom units at BWV so you will find that most of the 1 bedrooms will be next to the studios to make a 2 bedroom lock-off.

It will be a full one bedroom (with the jacquzzi tub/split bath area, and private bedroom with king size bed), LR/Kitchen and off the living room will be another door going into a studio room, with a queen size bed/living area with a pull out sleeper sofa and kitchenette area, bathroom and vanity/closet area.

BTW, you can ask for a 2 bdrm standard view close to the pool and lobby.

Getting a standard view for this summer would be a long shot. You would have a better chance for the preferred view (non-BW view). Standard views are only 20% of the total villas, BW View are another 20% and preferred - non-BW View 60%.

Thanks. Based on the map I saw it doesn't appear that the standard view rooms are where we want to be anyway. We really want to be near the main pool, BW view not necessary. When I call to reserve later this month I will ask them to put that on my reservation. But I understand there are no guarantees. I was just wondering what the odds were.

I've stayed there 2 or 3 times in a 1BR and each time been at the same spot right by the main pool. It is a very convenient area. Good access to the pool, boardwalk and food. I just didn't know where the 2BRs were located and if I would have a chance at getting a 2BR near where I have had the 1BR in the past.

It would be a long shot, but you could very well have the exact same one bedroom connected to a studio.

Rather than try to figure out what section to request, just state your preference the way you did in your first post; "near pool and boardwalk". That will give the room assigner the information they need to assign you a room (in your category) that comes closest to meeting your criteria.

I've gotten standard view the previous two years at the seven month mark for the last week of June in 2007 and the first week of June in 2008. I guess I just got lucky! The first time was the first day the 7 month window opened for a 1 BDR and the second time was for a 2 bdr about two weeks after the 7 month window, I had calculated my 7 month window incorrectly! They were both available on my first call, no waitlisting.

My personal experience is that BW view is easier to get than Standard view. In the 6 trips we have booked, 4 have been in BW view and only 2 in Standard view. At 7 months, I booked a trip for May 2009 in BW view and in 2005, we booked a 1 BR BW view at 6 months for F&W. In both cases, standard was not available when we booked. Other than our first stay in a 1 BR, we usually stay in studios, so this may have some impact on the equation as well. -- Suzanne
