We are taking my daughter and a few teenage friends to celebrate her 14th birthday at WDW. Since there will be 8 of us in a 2-bed., and 4 more in a separate studio, I have tried to talk her into letting me switch the reservation from BWV to OKW. My argument is bigger rooms and a likely chance of having the studio located in the same building as our 2-bed. She insists on staying at the BWV(even if it is in a standard view...I could not get the BW view) because of the location, but when we took her older sister for her birthday 2 years ago we were disappointed in the size of the BWV room compared to the OKW rooms. The living area felt "cramped" in the 2-bed. at BWV; the small table with 4 chairs was ridiculous when we ate breakfast and dinner. I do not want to add to the OKW/BWV debate...we love both for different reasons, but I was hoping some knowledgeable DISer could offer a suggestion for a 2-bedroom(standard view, non-smooking) that may be a little bigger, or laid-out differently to better suit our need for space. I know it is not guaranteed that I will get a particular room, but it wouldn't hurt to ask at check-in if 1 of 2 or 3 different rooms was available. Thanks so much!

But you just did.

Now back to your topic. She's 14 years old and you are the parent. Tell her where your going and switch to the larger OKW if it's that is important to you.

If it's her her birthday and her choice of resorts is part of the birthday celebration, don't worry about it and let her have a good time where she wants to go. The chances of asking for and getting a specific room at the BWV are slim, even if you could locate one that didn't make you feel "cramped".
