We are staying one night in a 2 bedroom at BWV, with a BW view.
I have only requested high floor away from elevators.

I would like to be overlooking the "action" of the Boardwalk and preferably in the middle. Floor really doesn't matter, as long as it isn't the first floor. Will I be able to see from the second floor?
Can anyone please tell me what exactly I need to request to try to be in the middle of the Boardwalk with a 2 bedroom.
Thanks.

Do you mean the middle of the Boardwalk or the middle of the Boardwalk along the DVC rooms?

Just so you have some idea - this is a 2nd floor close to elevators room view. It's probably the room 3rd closest to the elevators and lobby that you can get and places you as middle of the boardwalk as possible in the DVC wing. You can only see high Epcot fireworks but you have performers right below you.

You have nothing else to request. You did not have to request away from the elevators because all the 2BR boardwalk views are away from the elevator. All the 2BRs are over the Big River Grill area and the area where the DVC store used to have the entire first floor leading from the Big River to Jellyrolls and which is called the Crest of Waves section (it has a crest of waves on top of it). None are right in the center of the boardwalk which is the Village Green area that separates the villas from the inn. The view you will have will be fantastic.
If you look at the following photo you will see the Crest of Waves section (bluish-green color) on the right and to the left of that the red colored section that runs to just past the center of the photo as you go left; those are where the 2BRs are: http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/00/1a/5e/dd/boardwalk-villas.jpg

We loved staying on the 2nd floor with the BW view. One of the magicians used an extension tool to do a card trick with us while we were lounging on our balcony!! It was great fun for all of us.

We were on the 3rd floor over Big river Brewing last week. Great view. We were awakened 2 nights after midnight by loud people outside. We loved it though.

Wow! That is a wonderful view! Maybe I'll request 2nd or 3rd floor. I don't want to be up too high.

Thanks! We will ONLY be there one night, pre cruise, but it is a surprise for my dh, my dd-16 and her friend and my ds-12. They think we are staying at the Raddison at the Port and I have purchased my dd and her friend a one day pass so they can go to EPCOT and I made ressies at Yachtman Steakhouse for my dh, ds and me to celebrate our 20th Anniversary (which is in Sept) but we are really going on the cruise for my dd's Sweet 16 and that is why her friend will be with us. TMI, I know LOL

Yes, sorry, I am staying on points with DVC in a two bedroom.

Thank you ALL VERY MUCH!

drusba - your post has me a bit confused. Since all BWV 2BR's are lock-offs aren't the 2BR's all along the DVC Boardwalk side? I know that both the 1BR's we were in just above the store connected to a studio and they were on the corner by the Village Green.

ohh, I'd like to know this too. Thanks.
I was just going to request 2nd or 3rd floor. Do I need to say in the middle of the Boardwalk? I want to be close to the "action" since we are only there
one night and booked BW with a BW view, just for this reason.
Thanks.

Yes. The only boardwalk view facing the village green is the one on the corner, which is a dedicated 1 bedroom. All the 2 bedroom boardwalk views are directly above the boardwalk. I think the only one above the store is H/A. The rest are farther down.

I did not mean that our 1BR (which was the HA) was facing the Village Green. It was the last one before you round that corner and it did connect to a studio. We also were in the next 1BR down that is still above the store and not an HA and it also connected to a studio so there are at least two in the section above the store. These were on the 2nd floor so perhaps that's the only level that could have the 2BR above the store?

Don't forget that having a boardwalk view costs more points then prefured/standard views. If you didn't book a bw view when you called ms, than probably you won't get it.

agree you have to book a boardwalk view when you call ms...but boardwalk view rooms are the same number of points as preferred view rooms...standard view room are less points

That could be because I believe there are grand villas above the store on 3, 4 & 5 near the corner.

We stayed in a GV during Chrismas 07'. Here is a picture of it in the white box.
