BWV 1 bedroom occupancy

I remember reading this somewhere but never paid much attention as I never thought we could get a 1BR here. Anyways, we DID! Finally! It is only the 3 of us going, Me, DH, and DD3. We wanted to invite inlaws (2 people) for a few nights but just noticed that a total of 5 people is over the occupancy...is this outdated information? Im so confused?

You can have 5, but there is only bedding for 4. You must bring all needed sleeping materials for the 5th -- including a bed.

You will also need towels for that 5tyh person. And I hope you are all very friendly, 5 in a 1 BR, not me!

DVC will allow 5 of any age in most 1-bedroom villas. The exception are the Values at AKV for which they will only allow 4 plus an infant.

If the stated occupancy is 4 + infant, the resort will not provide any bed, bedding, linens for the 5th unless using the pack-n-play.

Here's how to do it with a 3 year old as the "5th" assuming you use the two beds for adults:
1) 3 year old is in the King bed with mom and dad
2) bring bedding, make up a "floor bedroll" for her
3) bring bedding, put her on the long dinette seat if she won't roll off (and put pillows below just in case.)

thank you very much...makes sense! I just wanted to be sure we can list all 5 on the reservation without going over the limit. They would only join us for a short time anyways!

Yes, we had 5 adults (me with 4 teens) registered in a one bedroom at BWV in Feb 2015 for my DD's sweet 16 trip.

My 2 teens and I shared the king bed. Their 2 teen friends shared the sofa bed.

There is no long dinette seat at BWV. Just 2 chairs and a small table.

We are a family of 5, me, DH, DD20, DD16, DD13 and we have stayed in one bedroom for several years. Everyone is always listed on the reservation. If no sleeper chair at the resort, we travel with a twin aero bed.

There is no long dinette seat at BWV. Just 2 chairs and a small table.

I don't remember a long dinette seat at BWV at all. When we stayed there in 2010 there was only a small stable and some chairs at the backside of the counter.

I wonder if you are thinking of the Beach Club? BWV are our home and Ive never seen a bench seat.

Beach Club has that, not Boardwalk.

Many years ago, there used what was basically a deacons bench with a thin pad in the dedicated studios at BWV.

Sorry to jump in these thread and ask a related but different question. If you bring your own bedding can you have 5 in a studio where there is only 4 listed as max occupancy for example SSR? Can you add the 5th person to ME, Magic Band , EMH etc?

Only the studios that have the murphy bed will allow 5 of any age. All the rest are 4 plus an infant.
