DH and I are going to WDW Nov.14th - 18th to celebrate our 18th annniversary. Using the new code (!!), we booked ASMU at $55 +tax for the first night since we won't arrive at the airport until midnight. We booked the Yacht Club (std.) for the other 3 nights at $179 +tax.

We have stayed at WL, AKL, and the Poly, and were trying to decide between YC and BWI for this trip. I know SAB is a favorite, but we probably won't be swimming, so the pool is not the big draw. I just liked the lobby when we passed through the YC on our way to B & C in January. We haven't been inside the BWI.

Will the renovations be completed at the YC by the time we arrive? Also, any opinions on which is better, YC or BWI, excluding the pool?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I haven't stayed at the YC so my perspective is only from the BWI. We stayed at BWI this past Feb. We thought the theming was really good, pretty in some spots and whimsical in others. The lobby is very nice and the veranda porch just off it is wonderful. Our room was fresh and clean, decorated in blue, yellow and white. There is a wide choice of resturants and entertainment right on the BW and just inside the international gateway to Epcot! We were there with our kids but the hotel was not over run with kids, it seemed to be a nice mix of adult couples and families. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much that we plan to return next trip.
